Maleki had already made his way through a handful of stall, some selling trinkets and goods while other sold food, drinks and sweets. The smells of all the food had pulled at him and he could not help but have a bit, he had to admit that the food was rather good for human fare. The crowd flowed around him and the stalls, most people moving at a far quicker pace then he himself was. When it came to his job hunt he had so far had little luck, other than an apple merchant looking for some manual labor, nothing really caught his attention as a good option. The square was full of humans of all sizes, both little and big, most of them engaging in the celebrations of whatever this festival was about. At least Maleki hoped that it was a festival, it seemed insane for any group to have a celebration like this more than a few times a year. You had children running left and right, merchants shouting towards people about the good they were selling, a couple fools entertaining people. A rather large group of people were even gathered around a man playing with what looked like dolls. Maleki even bothered to stop by for a moment, watching as the dolls danced around under the control of a yellow haired human, judging from the smile on the manβs face he was enjoying both the attention he was receiving as well as the performance he was giving. He moved on after a moment though, he enjoyed a good show himself but he wanted to see what he could find.
The sound of gunshots broke through the crowd, a sound that was all too familiar to Maleki. Instinctively his hand moved towards his blade on his back, pulling it slightly from its scabbard as his eyes scanned the crowd, looking for the source of the sound. He had been on high alert since going on the run, as such the sounds of violence immediately put him on edge. What he saw though put him quickly at ease, instead of an opponent that he would need to fight he simply saw a human having discharged his weapon into some sort of machine. What did catch his attention the most though was the fact that the man was talking, or rather yelling, towards a rather large stone woman. Some variant of earth elemental in all likely hood, Maleki had run into a pair of who had left an impression, on his backside, in the shape of a boot. His uncle had even lectured him on the nature of elementals a few times, well to be specific the lectures were more his uncle talking about all the different varieties of elementals that he had run into before.
After a moment Maleki began moving again, the sight of a troll with a partially drawn weapon staring intently towards the other side of the square had caused a number of people to take notice, with a grunt he released his blade and letting it slide back into its sheath as he began walking again. It was only a few moment later that the celebrations picked back up in full again, the slight confusion quickly vanishing as people got back to what they were doing. Maleki made his way through the crowd, stopping at one or two more stalls before making his way towards the gun shooting human and earth elemental. At this point the statue was holding a sign advertising some sort of hunting group, the almost barbaric scrawl on it made it rather difficult to read. The idea of a hunt was rather appealing to him.
It took him a few moment to wade his way through the crowd before he got to the booth, from this distance he could better make out the words on the sign, a magic hunting party sounded rather interesting. From what he knew they were able to make rather large amounts of money and more importantly they were kept on the move most of the time which sounded rather good to Maleki since he wanted to avoid staying in one place. He studied the two people at the booth. The earth elemental was obviously female, large and stone-like which had been rather obvious even from the other side of the square, she was waving towards people which seemed rather odd for someone of such great size, yet her stone flesh moved easily through the motions. The human was rather odd himself, he wore his black hair and a ponytail in addition to a rather plain looking trench coat except for the long patch that seemed to mark some sort of organization. The man seemed like the sort who was a rater old campaigner, the type of person who instead of becoming hard and powerful had become complacent and easy going. Maleki could not help but scowl a little at it, he did not seem like the type of person who would make for a good employer, but it still seemed like a better option than the apple merchant. Moving in front of the he approached the booth, walking forward he placed his hand on the counter before the man, his eyes surveying the place slowly as he spoke. βWhat work do you have bossman?β
