"So reality begins again, how wonderful..."
Aeon glanced briefly towards the window where the others were using as a means of escape. They were almost out of here. Time is needed and that would mean another means of a distraction. This is why it is troublesome to be around people for him. The leg pole which the girl (Akira) was holding was now in his hand. He looked towards the red-head boy (Jonathan). “Take care of her and go.” He stated while pointing at the other girl (Akira) who was still there. After saying that, he advanced towards the malevolent form of Mr. Drone. He then used the leg pole as spear and jabbed it to the creature’s arm and leaving it there.
This definitely took Mr. Drone’s attention completely as it roared with such great ferocity. Aeon narrowed his eyes and knew that whatever was about to happen would be very painful for him. But, he has to go to where the other senior (Kei) is and to get that man to safety. Why? He did say earlier they were going to leave together. This is truly cumbersome for him but, what is done is done. Mr. Drone swung his arm towards Aeon who docked at the last minute and then rolled towards the unconscious male (Kei). The male (Kei) was undoubtedly hurt from the impact but still breathing. In the end, this guy (Kei) needs medical treatment now.
Grabbing the unconscious male (Kei), Aeon dodged another attack at the last second from Mr. Drone who rushed towards them like a high-strung bull. The wall which the monster hit was reduced into a pile of debris. It is good that they were able to avoid that. In any case, he has to move now for it seemed that Mr. Drone is stuck at the destroyed wall. Well, he was not much of an intelligent being even before. Draping the male (Kei) over his shoulder, he went towards the window and handed the senior (Kei) to the others. “Handle him.” After ensuring a safe transition, he faced Mr. Drone once more who was angrier now. In addition, the target was him without hesitation. How lucky he was right now.
Mr. Drone once more ran towards him as Aeon run away from the windows leading the creature away from the others. He exited the room and Mr. Drone followed without difficulty. Holding the axe in his hand tightly, he was now running towards a horde of dead students. It seemed nothing was going his way. Well, there was no use complaining now. He slashed his way through the zombies while Mr. Drone did help by wrecking through the others behind him. However, it seemed there was no end to them and he was but human. He could feel the exhaustion finally catching up to him. The adrenaline which aided him was now disappearing within his system.
Soon enough, Aeon reached the kitchen of the cafeteria as he tried to escape the onslaught of the undead upon him. However, everything has an end. He was cornered as Mr. Drone was finally able to reach him. He leaned on one of the stoves. Actually, it was getting hard to breath. Why? Well, he had managed to turn all of the gas from the available stoves. Furthermore, he was bleeding all over. He has some bite wounds on his arms, shoulders, and legs. He even lost the axe along the trail. Mr. Drone was about to crush him with those monstrous hands. “I am sorry...” With that said, he lit the matchstick which he found as it ignited the entire kitchen into flames engulfing him, Mr. Drone, and the others in a sea of fire.
The explosion rattled the entire school grounds as the smoke and flames could be seen scorching through the sky.
It seemed that something heavy was pressing on top of him. Aeon was not sure. He remembered there were an explosion and the feeling of searing pain. Yet, it was not there anymore. He opened his eyes as those deep violet eyes of his saw a familiar face hovering before him. Those crimson eyes looked at him with disbelief, then relief, and lastly extreme happiness. “Aeon? Aeon... Aeon!” It would seem that the person he had been looking was now right before his eyes. Cassiopeia embraced him with such great attachment. What was going on? He glanced around him and noticed that the desolate landscape of the school had returned to normalcy even the student body that was looking at them with such embarrassed looks were now comprised of living people.
Furthermore, it seemed that he was at the hallway. The last location where he remembered being in before losing consciousness and waking up to that demented reality. Perhaps, that was a dream. How strange. If that was so, his arms found its way around Cassiopeia who was still clinging to him with such urgency. He managed to sit up with her still embracing him. The girl seemed very relieved of something and the same could be said about him. Although, he did not let it show with his indifferent façade. The looks and the audience they were having right now was not his concern. “I am here.” That is all he said as he stroked her silver white tresses to comfort the girl who had taken the title as his fiancée. Right now, she needed his presence and if that is something he could provide that. He would do so.
