All he needed was Constantine. He asked Rya to stay back and wait for him by the tree, and that he would be back soon. He could tell she wasn't pleased with letting him take care of it himself, but all he needed was Constantine.

Night had fallen, and the Professor had gone to sleep. Ryan knew the Professor used to fall asleep in his office when he was busy, and he would definitely have been busy tonight. He gripped the Pokéball tightly and slid the door to the classroom open, moving inside without a sound. If all went according to plan, this would be an easy job.

He dropped the Pokeball to his side, doing his best to cover the light of Constantine's emergence. The salamander Pokémon dropped to the floor, making himself as small as possible. Ryan smiled, he had to admit Constantine was well trained. He leaned down. "Alright bud, it's your moment, make me proud." The Quagsire nodded and slid off toward the Professor's office. Ryan had his own destination.

The Professor had a completed Pokédex. He had to, if he truly was the Pokémon master everyone made him out to be. And if he had a completed dex, he would have to have at least one of every Pokemon in Kanto. Ryan would just have to steal the right one. He slowly made his way to the Professor's desk and took a seat. The man would have his Pokémon stored in the box system, and Ryan was sure he'd be able to get in. He winced as the light from the monitor temporarily blinded him. A password screen... of course. He went to work.

Meanwhile, Constantine had slid into the Professor's office and was keeping close watch on the slumbering Pokémon master. If the Professor showed even a slight chance of awaking Quagsire was to use Yawn and put him back under. So far all was going well, but there was no telling whether or not the man would wake up, and if Ryan could get out in time.

*Rejected*... *Rejected*... *Rejected*...

"Damn..." Ryan whispered. His queses were not working.. "Come on old man... what is it?" A thought entered his head... what if..?

"S-i-l-v-e-r" Ryan whispered as he typed. *Accepted* Ryan had to stifle his celebration, as to not wake up the old man. He quickly found the folder wherein Redwood kept his Pokemon. It would be simple, just choose a Pokémon, and it would materialize into the Pokéball placed on the pedestal. He knew just the one he needed. Ryan placed the empty Pokéball in the slot and searched for the Pokémon he needed. He knew all along just what he wanted, and when he found it quickly started the process. The machinery sprang to life as the Pokémon was being transported, and it was making a bit more noise than Ryan would have liked. He leaned over the desk to see the office door. He hoped Constantine had it under control.

After a few minutes a beep told him it was done. He swiped the Pokéball and left the chair in a rush. He pulled Constantine's ball from his belt and returned him. He'd done well, and they were nearly home free. He slid his way back out of the classroom and jogged down the hallway back to the tree where he'd left Rya. He slid to a halt next to her and produced his new Pokéball.

"Rya, everything went perfectly, It's time we head back." He tossed the ball and let out his new partner. It felt odd having a Pokémon that didn't belong to him, but it was a necessary evil. The two of them were greeted with a sleepy stare by the same Abra that had originally taken them to Pallet Town. Ryan smiled at Abra. "Hey pal, we need your help alright?" He dropped to one knee to speak more comfortably with the Abra. "You up for saving the world?" He held out a hand, and took Rya's hand with the other one. Abra looked hesitant, and he didn't blame it. This whole situation was pretty jarring. He just really hoped Abra would trust him.

Abra finally reached up and and took Ryan's hand, and they were gone.

Ryan knew he'd never get used to that teleporting thing. He could have sworn he'd seen the sun, but that was impossible. There was no sun in Pallet Town, too much smog. A few blinks and there it was. Something was wrong. They weren't in Pallet. He sat up and looked from side to side. All he could see was water. Were they on an island? He spun around and looked behind him. Yup... they were on an island. The giant volcano towering over them pretty much proved that. They were on Cinnabar Island.
