It was a weird sensation... but not entirely unpleasant, the kiss, not that she had anything to compare it to. As she felt the dark, aura leave the body of this young man, a hand firmly but gently pushed her back. Stepping away, she released the front of his clothes, sheepish. She tried to fight the blush that was crawling up her face. What was she thinking? A kiss? Really? Why not something else? She was pulled out of her thoughts by his voice.
βThanks,β he said to her, before walking a few steps away. He has such pretty hair... Why did mine have to be so dark and depressing? Kazar's face felt hot as he not- so- subtlety looked her over. Forcing herself not to fidget, Kazar's lips tilted up in a pleasant, polite smile, a habit she took comfort in. Straightening her posture, the guardian looked up, a tiny bit startled as she met violet eyes. But she kept her composure and parted her lips to speak. However, before getting a word out,
"So you are my guardian," He didn't exactly sound thrilled and Kazar's face tightened. She was short, and she was female. Not exactly the most impressive combination... plus she was wearing her bum clothes. Why now? This must be a terrible first impression. Plus! I kissed him! What if he's not into women? Blue eyes, now a tad bit icy, narrowed as he sighed and looked away. Your first impression isn't exactly the best, either. Obviously conflicted, she waited politely for him to speak and get his thoughts in order. Guilt started forming in the back of her mind though she pushed it down. It must suck for him, how I'm his guardian... sorry...
He turned back towards her and she gave him her full intention. So his name was Tristan... She smiled again, though it didn't reach her eyes.
"I'm Kazar." She said, her voice smooth and confident though she felt anything but. "And no need to thank me. Now that it's my new job, it will be happening a lot more frequently, I imagine." The petite girl tugged at the hair tie, letting it tumble down her back and shoulders. A lot had already fallen out after the... she glanced at the dark blob, the skirmish. Her cheeks heated up again. I must look like such a mess! That thought was soon forgotten as she continued to look at the remains of the giant monster. The adrenaline that had surged through her veins, had given her a high she had never felt before. It made her feel so alive and powerful. It was so thrilling and made her feel fluttery inside. She was a guardian! Dad, I've taken a step in the right direction. Now I can protect the people, in this small way at least. I'll do my best so no one suffers from losses, like I had to.
Joyfully, now, she smiled, showing perfect white teeth, eyes sparkling. "I was just about to get some cake, I know this really great place a few blocks down. The Baker gives me the greatest discounts too," Her hands brushed off a few stray leaves from her old, woolen sweater. "And I feel like you don't really like me now. And I admit, I wouldn't want me as a guardian either." Shrugging, Kazar grinned "But your stuck with me and I hope we'll get along." She met his eyes again. "I won't let you down." Her head dipped casually,as she walked passed him, humming a tune under her breath. It had taken her a lot of courage to say that to him, but now it felt free. She figured she shouldn't come across as a pushover, he seemed a bit scary.
After a few feet, she glanced back, "Come and keep me company?"
