The longer Kei sat in his seat the more he thought about that dream and what had happened. It hadnāt exactly felt like a dream, in fact it felt quite real, the pain and emotion had all been incredibly realistic and he even reached down to feel his ribs. Nothing was wrong though, there were no marks of any sort and as he looked up at the clock it was obvious that he hadnāt even been asleep that long. Not that Kei doubted it was a dream, the idea of zombies being real was insane, not to mention he just didnāt want it to be real. The idea of all those people dead, even if he hadnāt seen a friend dead. Yet it had felt real and all of that washed over him, especially the people he had seen inside the dream. So when he heard a familiar voice and turned to see Akira standing in front of him, rubbing the back of her neck and seeming a bit nervous. "Hey.. it's probably time we talked about yesterday... I've got work soon.. but can we walk together and talk about this...?" At first Kei was nervous about what was coming his way, about what he had done to Akira and how she had a right to be angry. The whole situation had been so absurd, people had become angry for no reason, emotions had run high, and Kei had ended up snapping at someone he really liked and never should have spoken to in such a way.
As if his regret wasnāt already enough Kei thought about that damn dream and the realism touched on what happened between himself and Akira as well. In the dream that dispute between them, Keiās inappropriate outburst, didnāt matter and they had been more like previously. In fact that had been better than previously because Kei wasnāt hiding in the corner any longer and they hadnāt been angry, and if Akira still had been the situation had taken precedence. "I realize I've been overreacting a lot this year, and I promise I'll have a handle on it soon.. I just want to explain everything and apologize properly." She wasnāt the only one, Kei had overreacted himself, even Momo had overreacted in her own right with Silas about Keiās shoulder, apologizing and clearing things up was the right decision, on both of their parts and she wouldnāt be the only one apologizing. "I might not get another chance for awhile.. I've got a lot of stuff to do for Ms. Roselle to make up for pretending to be a boy.. and I work.. So I hope you're free." Kei chuckled slightly, not making fun of Akira but finding it rather hilarious that people actually believed Akira was a boy. It was probably just because Kei had always been paying attention to her but she had always been a cute girl in his mind. Not to mention he still found the idea of her dressing in a certain way getting her into trouble ridiculous, though Kei found a good deal of this fancy school rather odd.
That wasnāt the point though, the point was Akira wanted to talk and it gave Kei some hope and he quickly nodded. āOf course, I think we should talk as well.ā He stood from his desk, grabbing his stuff and tossing it over his shoulder. He needed to grab a few things from the store before heading home anyways, and even if he had nothing to do he wanted to talk with Akira, to make sure they were on speaking terms at the very least, even if he had lost all chances to actually becoming friends with his momentary lapse in judgment. He made sure that he had everything before looking back to Akira with a small smile of his own. āI have some things I need to apologize for as well, so letās walk and we can get all of this off out chests.ā Kei gave one more nod and then motioned towards the door, āAfter you Akira.ā Kei wasnāt exactly sure what the conversation would yield but he was glad they were going to be talking and he couldnāt help but feel happy underneath it all to be walking with her at all. Now it was just up to him, to make sure Akira understood how sorry he was and listen to what she wanted to say, because while all of that craziness had happened on the trip it didnāt change Keiās opinion of her, even if it was all a bit hectic and surprising.
āAirdalen High does not tolerate pranks of any sort for any reason given. As a result, the school janitor has been fired and apprehended by the police. Due to this incident, after school clubs will also be cancelled for today. We are deeply saddened by the loss of Varthur Laurence..ā Keiās eyes widened as a message aired and ended, everything coming to a halt as his face turned, eyes looking towards the intercom as he found himself confused, not truly giving a damn about the so called āprankā but about the last sentence, what the intercom voice made seem so unimportant. Varthur was gone? While Kei didnāt know the man well he sure as hell had seen him around enough and during the past few days to be more than a little concerned, especially with the way it was said. Was he dead? Could that really be what was going on and if so why in the fuck would they all be informed in such a careless way? Kei looked over to Akira with shock on his features, āWhat the hellā¦ Thatās some sort of joke donāt you think? There is no way this is the way they would tell us such serious news right? Not a single sentence over an intercom.ā
