The black spots that ran across the room would not vanish no matter how hard Matt tried to blink them away. Was this an aftereffect of that vision? Or was this one of the powers of someone in this manor. A quick glance around the room had Matt thinking it was the former. A metallic taste suddenly flooded over his taste buds and Matt lifted a hand to his nose, a small red smear on his fingers. Never a good sign.

Matt felt a hand on his shoulder and jumped, quickly wiping away the smudge and trying his best to keep the dizziness at bay. It appeared as though Shio had summoned Aika from wherever she had vanished to and she had found her way over to Matt. Shio certainly was perceptive to notice something wrong, she had not even been in the room during his collapse. Maybe it was something to do with her ability... or maybe Matt just looked even worse than he felt.

Adira, one of the women who had been in the kitchen earlier when Matt had first arrived, now sat at the table eating an orange before being pounced upon by Shio. A small smile crept onto Matt's face and he glanced at Liliana who had returned from her work and about the deer that had caused this whole scene.... what caused it..Matt honestly did not know what triggered the reaction. Clearly Shio had some aversion to blood, but Matt had been around blood before and never had an issue. Who were those men and women he had seen in his photo. Why did their deaths seem to weigh so heavily on him. They did not look like people of this age, they had been grittier and tougher than people of today's world.

"Um... If he is planning to make venison I know a few pretty good recipes.... but so far as cleaning the animal I am unfamiliar with the technique" Matt offered, though he honestly did not know if he intended to stay long enough to cook anything. It all depended on what answers he could get from William. If he was going to continue to collapse and suffer these aftereffects.. he may very well die before he could get the answers he sought here.
