Kaede growled again, holding himself back. No, he couldn't do that. He knew that Rin was not meant to die here, and that none of the others would forgive him if he did end Rin's life. He pulled his blade back and let Ifrit's flames fade before stepping back, clenching his teeth and glaring at Mephisto. "You're making a huge mistake... If you honestly think that opening the gate and trying to destroy the demons will actually solve any of this, you're a greater fool than I thought." He growled and turned to Angel. "And I've personally had enough of your demon hating bullshit to last a thousand life times! So what if something comes from Ghenna? Does that mean that its heart is as black as the hate you hold in yours!?"

He wasn't thinking rationally, this was Kaede with his heart laid out bare, his emotions frayed and tromped on.
"This world is a pair of scales, our world and theirs. They've tipped the balance by coming here, but us going there wont do any good... you'll just tip the balance even further." He kept his blade drawn, giving Kira a sad smile. "Thanks for pulling me back... I don't know what I was thinking..."
