Her blade came up, swinging around full circle as it went through another creatures arm. Her body had given her blade the momentum needed and each swing continued into the next. Keyra's entire frame moved with her blade. She was, essentially, one with the weapon. The Val's wings tilted every so often to change her direction or to help with executing one of the moves that she fell into.
Coming back around on a full pivot on one foot, she dropped low to avoid the swing of yet another massive arm and lunged forward, hardly stopping at all. She ran her blade through it completely and withdrew with a hard pump of her wings. Unfortunately she's missed it's heart, having dropped down low before lunging at it. Keyra had been so caught up in the fight that she hardly noticed that she'd been left behind by Elruin.
Twisting around for a brief moment, she noted that he'd moved back to the stairs. As she was about to follow him back, she felt a strange pull all around her body. The magic wrapped around her entire lithe frame and she was suddenly dropped right next to the stairwell with him. Unused to such methods, the Val's heart pumped hard as she gasped from the rather sudden relocation.
“You should have ignored me, Val.”
Glancing up at him, she frowned, "Get used to it, Ash Fiend," she responded heavily, eyes narrowed as she watched him. Though for a brief moment she almost regretted her decision of helping him to retreat. Shrugging it off, she watched in awe as Dravon then executed a mass barrage of gun fire and spears into the advancing group of enemies. It was seemingly working rather well, but Keyra was unsure as to how long they would last.
Even so, she was glad to be out of the line of fire. Had Elruin not brought her back as he did, she was sure to have ruined their plan of scattering the large group. Now it looked far easier to deal with than it had a moment before. Keyra waited though as she was behind the firing line. The Val's fingers tightened around the hilt of her large weapon, wings twitching ever so slightly as she watched the fight with dilated eyes.
The moment Dravon drew his sword from it's sheath, Keyra knew they were finishing this fight. The group of soldiers opened up for her and she burst forward once again. Her wings brought her up to the first unfortunate creature rather quickly. Raising up her weapon, she crouched down before she leapt up off the ground, gaining height as her wings helped with the leap. Shoving her blade forth, it went straight through the things chest and into what could have been considered the heart. Together, they tumbled down to the floor.
Standing up, she wrenched her sword free and turned to the next one.
