Aurelia Nicholls

Aurelia was running down the main street heading towards the office that was at the end of the road. She was late from work, again. She spend hours every night just thinking about the disappearings in town. There was so many questions open. Why no one saw anything? Why there was nothing in common in victims? Why there was no pattern of any sort? "Good morning Aurelia!" a man across the street shouted waking her up from her thoughts. Aurelia waved her hand "Have a nice day mister Wilson!"

Her hair was still messy, she had just put them into a ponytail. It wasn't rare sight to see her at this time of the morning running half-asleep with unbrushed hair and no make up. She usually take care of those when she arrived at the office. Almost everyone who had lived in town more than a month knew that. It was a small town after all.

Like every morning she stepped inside the cafe. "Morning miss Nicholls" the barista greeted her. "Morning, the usual one" Aurelia answered and then noticed the couple and the new flyer as well. It was part of her morning routine. Getting herself a cup of coffee that she would drink in her way to work and checking the new missing posts.

She gave couple of dollars to the barista that handed her a big cup of coffee and then turned towards the couple. "Is that boy your son?" she asked friendly. "I'm Aurelia Nicholls, I work in View. If you want I can ask the editor add your missing post to the news paper as well." Aurelia spoke in quiet, caring voice. There was already two pages of the paper dedicated only for those who had disappeared.
