I heard a shout come from deeper into the jungle. It seemed like a male voice but from the distance we were I couldn't tell. I pulled myself up a tree. "Wait here." I told Eiko. "I'm going to get a bird's eye view." I popped my head above the palm fronds and scanned the dense vegetation. This was one big island that's for sure. I couldn't even see the other side! It seems the beach we were stranded on was the west side of the island because the sun was in front of me. Slightly to the left, I guess it would be northeast, a mountain rose up from the middle of the jungle with trees growing up it. I couldn't see any distinct movements or colors other than green out in the jungle so I climbed back down. "I found nothing." I told her.

She held up a finger to quiet me before peering into the dark jungle. "I heard something else. It was this way." she said as she pointed deeper in. "Let's go."

I grunted, "Right." We took off into the damp brush. I could feel my arms and legs getting cut up by the terrain and plants. I stumbled over a rock that jutted out of the ground. I fell down into mud puddle. I spat out mud. "Ugh, I'm not used to this type of terrain.

We were reaching a clearing as I could see some light slowly getting brighter ahead of us. The survivor that had left earlier in the morning was standing with the person I saw wash up on the beach. "Is everything alright? We heard shouting."
