The doctor came out looking grave, he was obviously tired from a long, hard day of work. Thankfully they had some of the new technology developed in Ookami's lab, but even so there were things a machine couldn't do. He walked over to Trayton and pulled down the mask from his nose. "We managed to save her wing," he said with a sigh and wiped his brow. "But there was a lot of internal damage and she lost a lot of blood." He wrung the mask in his hands. "Nothing is certain unless she wakes up."

Two nurses were wheeling Miiko upstairs to the ICU. She looked almost peaceful laying in bed, wrapped in blankets with machines gently beeping by her side, making sure that her bodily functions were doing what they were supposed to.
