"I'll need to investigate more, but it sounds to me as though some sort of malevolent entity is absorbing the power of others in order to strengthen itself. I'm not sure what that entity might be, or why they're doing it, but from what you have described it is not a good sign at all. This entity, whatever it may be, will need to be forced out of this place. Every day it remains here, it likely gains more power from the unnatural conduits of magic that litter this place."

He began to think, once more pulling out his trusty journal and scribbling down almost an entire page of near indecipherable words as quickly as he could.

"I told you, Aderyn. We shouldn't have come here unprepared. By my experiences, we're going to need some sort of powerful stone, or soul gem, to separate this entity from his absorbed power, thus hopefully freeing them from this prison... Unless, of course, it literally is just eating things.
