Roxanne shifted on Chance's chest, listening to the steady thud of his heart by her ear. A throbbing on her neck pulled her from her sleep, but it was faint enough they she brushed it off. She turned her so she could look at him, and felt herself soften at the sight of him sleeping. She knew she should slap herself on the wrist for that feeling, but she just couldn't bring herself to. He was sleeping, anyways. He couldn't see that tender look she knew she was wearing.
With a yawn, she stretched out a little but remained sprawled out on his chest. She felt a light soreness, but want particularly surprised. Chance want always known for his gentleness- she knew he often forgot his own strength. She didn't mind very much, though. She traced her fingers along his arms, her fingertips just barely grazing his skin. She felt his arms tighten around her slightly, and grinned but winced at the same time. She probably had a couple of bruises, but they were never dark.
Roxie propped herself up on her elbows, her face just inches from his, and grinned down at him. "Morning, hottie." She murmured softly, before giving him a kiss. Laughing lightly, she pulled away to keep it from going too much further. She flinched, as the pain on her neck grew sharp. She leaned back and glanced at the mirror. She gaped at what she saw. A bite wound, much larger and much messier then any vampire, marred her neck.
"Damn!" She hissed sharply, touching it lightly. "That is one hell of a lovebite. " She muttered, wincing. The blood on the bite was dried and it looked rather clean, but the further away she pulled from him, the more it hurt. Laying down on his chest again, she shot him a playfully hurt look before our dawned on her what that bite meant.
"...oh, shit. We are both going to be killed. "
