Odessa took a long, hot shower. It didn’t matter that the water was practically scolding her skin, it was so hot, her skin eventually went numb. She was exhausted with her life, she was in more pain then she was letting on. From fucking Cameron the first night, to Emilio finding out and fucking him and letting him beat the shit out of her, to last night when he’d beat the shit out of her again, and then spending the night with Cam.
She rested her forehead against the shower tile, letting the hot water run down her back as she let the steam clear her complicated thoughts. For the first time in a long time she let herself cry, because the water disguised the tears and she could lie to herself. She still wasn’t entirely sure who Cain or Cameron was, she was fairly certain she was quickly falling for him, and if Emilio knew he’d kill Cain and Ava and force her to stay alive because that was worse than killing her and he was smart enough to know that.
Eventually she collected herself and stepped out of the shower. She slipped into a white bikini, before slipping one of Emilio’s old shirts over her head and tying in up to expose her mid-drift. Finally she slipped into a pair of daisy duke shorts. The outfit showed off nearly every inch of her inked body. She covered her bruises and the slice across her neck best she cool before heading back out to where Emilio and Ava were eating breakfast. She ran her fingers through her still wet hair, sliding into the booth like table next to Ava.
“You sleep well?” Emilio asked but the question didn’t sound right, she knew him way to well. She sighed as she lend back in the seat and kept her eyes on him. “I’m thinking of having you show that Cameron guy a thing or two about or world.” He said glancing up and his tone was serious Dess knew better then to interrupted so she just continued to listen.
“I liked them.” Ava chimed in as she took a sip of her orange juice, Emilio smirked up at Odessa then and she knew that he was planning.
“Yeah?” he flicked his dark gaze to Avalon. “Me too baby.” He breathe before looking back to Dessa. “But, if their cops…” Emilio trailed off holding Mustang’s eyes. “We don’t like cops do we babe?” Dess shook her head to his question and she already knew what he was asking her to do without him having to stay anything.
“I got it.” Dessa sighed. “I don’t think they are, but I’ll find out.” She said simply making herself a plate, figuring she better eat, because she wasn’t entirely sure when she’d eaten last.
He watched her lean over and grab his shirt before slipping it on and he sighed. He didn’t want to leave. That had been the best night of his life, it wasn’t just the sex, it was simply being with her. Now if he was being completely honest he wasn’t sure when he’d get to see her again and that was the only thing that scared him. She leaned in pressing her lips to his and he kissed her back, before she pulled away and slipped the rst of her clothes on and gathered her things.
"You're right." she said and he sighed and stood up then as he started to collect everything they’d brought down to the beach. "We really need to be getting back soon."
The ride back was quite for the most part, he assumed it was because both of them were dreading going back, for more reasons than being apart. Sure a big part of him not wanting to go back was because he wasn’t sure when or if he’d see her again and the thought alone was killing him. Not only that, but he wasn’t sure him and his brother were on the best terms after he’d attacked Cain last night. He thought to himself as he rubbed his sore jaw. Then there was Kimmy, fucking Kimmy. She was going to put him and Cain through hell and that only gave him more incentive to bring Emilio down. Not only for him and Mila to actually have a chance, but to get Kimmy out of his life.
Once they’d gotten back, the place was half alive. There were a lot of people still asleep, but there were a lot awake as well. He parked his car outside his trailer. He didn’t get out right away though. He lend across the center of the car and pressed his lips to her, the kiss was almost an apology, telling her that he was sorry he she had to go back. Eventually he pulled away an with a hand on the back of her neck he held her eyes.
“I’m right here if you need me.” He whispered. “Even if it’s not sex and you just want to talk. I’m not hard to find.” He smirked. “Take your time, but I gotta go.” He breathed before kissing her one last time on the lips, before pressing his lips to her forehead and with that he slipped out of the car and disappeared into his trailer.
