Soran and Peter

Soran sat with one leg up under him, the other dangling off the chair as he worked on the computer before him. He was humming to himself as the headset was hooked in one ear and he was listening to his favorite music. The boy would sing every now and then as well, completely in tune with the music he was slightly rocking out to. He was completely in the zone as he worked on the computer, designing a new program to shift through the information he had gotten from the city.

Peter was slightly walking to the room he knew his seer was at, possibly working straight away on the data he collected for his new program. He walked to the door and opened it silently as he closed it. He was slightly moody as he rubbed a bruise on his shoulder. "Darn fancy pants, I underestimated him..."

Soran startled at the voice that entered the room, "Fuc- Aww man," he said with a groan as his fingers accidentally hit the wrong key. However, as he watched the program take off, it seemed to be working regardless and he grinned. Bouncing up and down in the seat with excitement he almost forgot that someone had indeed entered the room, "Awesome! Oh! Hey Peter... whats up?" he asked, glancing over to the Guardian. For a moment, Soran seemed to take a minute to realize who it was he was talking to. In all honesty he and Peter hadn't talked all that much since they had been paired as Guardian and Seer. It was probably a good a time as any really and for a moment the boy felt slightly guilty for not paying more attention to Peter as he probably should have. Turning away from the computer, he gave it one last glance as it worked through the information. That can sit and do its thing for a while he thought to himself and removed the headset so he could concentrate on Peter fully.

"Lost that Sparring match against Kilia's Guardian..That Jonathan guy can really throw a punch. He actually looks like one of those guys who cares about his physical health or else he wouldn't look so defined, She picked a good guardian, and a good boyfriend if they have hooked up." Peter commented slightly whilst nursing another bruise. "How's the program going?"

Soran grinned at his Guardian, "You know, Guardians and Seers don't really *pick* each other, you know. It just kinda happens," he shifted around and glanced back at the program as he was asked about it, "Its going, I guess. It pulled up a lot of information when I released it in the city, so its going to have to go through a lot of it. I think I am going to have to modify it somehow. Gotta figure out what is the gods power and what is Yves.... Um... I mean, a Seers," he scratched at his cheek gently with a frown, "Anyway. Why'd you go and pick a fight with him anyway? You knew he was fairly strong to begin with. The guy isn't small, that's for sure. Hell, I think he and Tristan are pretty well built...." he paused slightly, his mind going elsewhere as it often did with Tristan's name alone. He probably could have daydreamed for a while if the system didn't beep at him and startle him.

"Ah! Oh... uh, sorry," he said. Tapping a few keys, he gave it another command and returned his attention to Peter, "Anyway... yeah, question still stands."

"I was bored and tired from being woken up early in the morning so I went for the nearest person with arms and legs. That a problem?" Peter said as Soran also dodged the fact Yve was the energy signature as well. "Relax on that fact Soran. I know what Kilia is going through. It's not my first roundup." He said with a small frown on his face.

Frowning at his Guardian, he sighed heavily, "Yeah, well still. Its a touchy subject I'm sure with her, so... anyway. Seriously, though, you just jumped on the nearest person hu? Dude, you really need to calm down. So yes, that is a problem, I cant have you lashing out at the nearest person just because your up early and bored. We are all here to work as a team, not tear out each others throats," Soran continued with a frown as he glanced back at the system for a brief moment before looking back at Peter.

"If it's worth anything I apologized after being soundly humiliated. My Father gave me at least some degree of manners before..." Peter stopped himself there as he shut his mouth almost instinctively like a fish...and his mouth acted like it was clamped shut for a moment. Peter groaned in exasperation as he flicked his jaw which made it loosen up again. "Gah! That's better. But, yeah, he did give me some degree of the manners stuff."

Soran grinned at him again, trying to keep himself from laughing openly at his Guardian, "You're funny, a little strange I hope you know," the blonde said with a giggle, "I'm glad you at least apologized, if not I was going to make you do that," Soran sighed as he stretched, his arms rising up over his head with his fingers intertwined. His lithe frame shuddered under the strain and then he relaxed again. Once again, he startled as his program began beeping at him incessantly. Whirling around, he eyed it carefully. After a few keys being pushed, a bit of mumbling and his eyebrows down in slight frustration, he fell back with his gaze wide and breathed out heavily.

"Holy... shit..."

Glancing over to Peter he was stunned for a minute by his own program, "I... I did it! But its.... really scary," he said, his face pale slightly, "I... have to show Tristan and Grayson... Come on, lets go," he said as he leaned forward and plugged in a flash drive to the computer and downloaded it with a few key presses.

"Good job Soran, your program is a success." Peter said with a small smile on his face. At the sound of Soran wanting to show Tristan and Grayson, he shrugged. "If you want to celebrate with them that's fine by me buddy. I just gotta find something to ice my shoulder and I will probably catch up with ya on that with the others." Peter got up from his chair as he walked to the door and opened it. "After you."

"Umm, well not really celebrate," Soran muttered as he pulled the drive from the computer and got up, "Sure I guess its a success, but I honestly don't like the results I got. Anyway, I'm going to need Grayson and Tristan to help me create a program for detecting Gods and Goddesses with this, and we are seriously going to need to prepare... like.... insanely," he muttered to himself and went to the door. With a slight nod he walked out into the hallway first and went on the hunt for Tristan and Grayson.

Peter sighed, "If it's not one thing it's another... I really don't know what to say to that." Peter sighed as he walked to the kitchen to find something to ice his shoulder or something along those lines. Peter was now very Worried. The only reason Soran would be worried is if something was coming, and coming faster then anyone wanted.

Soran, Alauric, Grayson,Tristan,

The adults were in Alauric's study, discussing some strategies for training and actually battle. They almost had everyone's strengths and weaknesses worked out, well with a few exceptions. They had also been doing research on accounts with the goddess was met the other night. Neither one of them looked at least bit happy in what they found either. Alauric was sitting at his desk, going through some emails and Grayson was sitting on the couch reading a book.

Soran knocked on the door of the room that he thought he would find Grayson in. He had gotten used to the house by now, and with the help of Tristan as well, knew pretty much where to find people when he needed them. He bounced back and forth as he waited for an answer. He bit his lip as he waited, hoping that Tristan was in the room as well, after all he had promised to tell the other boy about things first. Man would this be awkward...

Grayson stood up and opened the door, "Master Soran, is everything ok, did you get what you needed from earlier." Alauric looked up as well from the desk, he was curious as well, but let the guardian ask. "You do look better," Grayson continued but noted a slight paleness to the other's complexion. He stepped aside so the boy could come in

"Uh... yeah," he said slowly and looked about the room, "Wheres Tristan?" he asked as he moved into the room. I dont want him to get mad at me again, he thought solemnly.

Alauric chuckled slightly, but was trying to hide it from the boy. Grayson gave him a look, "I do believe Tristan said something about a shower, maybe food. He will be along in a minute or two," Grayson answered him. "He said if you should come along with your results, that it would be ok to go ahead." Actually it had been a rather funny scene not ten minutes earlier, in which Grayson could have sworn Tristan ran in and out of the room about 5 times, each time with something else to add...always starting with If Soran this...or Soran that..... Finally Alauric had enough and told him if he came back one more time he would lock him in his room.

"O-oh, okay," Soran said and moved to take a seat. When he sat down though, he realized that they couldnt do much without the flash drive and stood again abruptly, "U-uh! Here, sorry. This... it has all the data I had and the program I ran that sorted it all. Its really freaking amazing, to be honest, but the scary part is what it showed me once it was all done," he moved swiftly and went to Alaurics desk. He gestured to the computer, "C-can I?"

Alauric closed a program he had been using and got up, "All yours," he said, stretching slightly. He stepped aside for the other.

Soran seated himself and quickly plugged in the device and worked on the computer, bringing up everything he had on his own computer earlier, "So, when I made the spell to capture all of the power in the city, it did that plus some. It took a really long time to sort through everything, but basically," he paused in his explanation. His fingers flew across the keyboard and once he was finished, he turned the computer for both Grayson and Alauric to see, "this is what it looked like," on the screen was a graph of sorts. A handful of lines were scattered across it, but one stood out from all the others. It was thicker, pulsing higher than the others with two other lines below it almost as thick with only a slight sliver of space to keep them apart. Soran pointed to the one that was farther below those three lines, "This... this is Yve. Her power, her spells. And this one," he cringed and seemed to go pale again as he lifted his finger to the one that was larger, "This is the Gods, the one she fought. I don't know what it really means, but to me... That God, Devil, Creature at this point, is fucking strong... I! Mean! Really, really strong. Like, the city was lucky to have been standing as it was to be honest. That God could probably level everything within a few hundred miles if he wanted to." He stuttered on the curse word that slipped his mouth. He wasn't used to it, and was always trying to be polite around Tristans father.

Both adults looked at the scene, both impressed by what the boy was able to do. Grayson though spoke up first, "The two below that, I take it, are his companions," he sort of asked, guessed in the same sentence. He looked at Alauric, who had gone sort of pale while looking at the graph. He wondered what the other was thinking.

Soran nodded, "Yeah, those are the other Gods that were with him," with a shake of his head he pointed to the ones that were scattered around underneath the gods and Yves signatures, "These ones I don't know about. Probably other magic users that were once in the city. Their lines are thinner so they aren't really all that powerful. I think if I were to compare our spells, we would be about the same thickness as Yves is, or similar anyway. Either way, there's nothing that contends with this Gods.... Oni, I guess he was called?" Looking up he raised an eyebrow, "What is he the God of?"

Alauric stood and walked to the couch, "Everything...basically god of gods." He sighed, and sat down. Standing at the door was Tristan, who might have been standing there the whole time without anyone noticing him. His eyes looked at his dad, not really sure what to say. He took a walk to the computer to actually look at the graph as well. "Damn...," he finally understood a little bit better. Grayson quirked an eyebrow for a second, "Your probably right, however individually you might be even less than Yve's, you guys having just getting to figure out your powers and what you can do with them."

"Holy... God of gods..." Soran repeated in a hushed breath, leaning forward he looked at the computer again, "That does explain the insane power." He winced slightly at the mention of how they were under Yves abilities. Grayson was most likely very right about that. He frowned a bit, his gaze trailing up to Tristan who was standing next to the desk now, "Yeah... this means a lot of training doesn't it? How are we even going to get close to this? I mean... Gods are hard enough to deal with, but this guy? A god of Gods...." Soran shook his head as he sat back in the chair with a thump, "This.... this almost feels impossible."

The room fell silent for a second, it was finally Alauric that spoke, "You...seers shouldn't have to deal with this, for you it will be impossible." Yet, who was there left to deal with the problem, Alauric shook his head, "I should have more faith in you, you've all shown promise." He was having a hard time putting words to his thoughts. If Yve had in fact asked him this earlier, he would have implacably said no, he knew that would be suicide. Tristan turned and looked at his father, but didn't reply.

Soran looked between father and son, sensing something but not quite sure what it was. He bit his lip again as he sat there, turning slightly in the chair, "But if not us, than who? I mean... we cant seriously expect any sane civilian to go up against a God. That would just be.... stupid," leaning forward he watched Alauric carefully, "If its not all of us, than there really is no hope. We just have to get stronger. I'm ready for it!" he said enthusiastically, which he realized didn't match his earlier statement. Soran honestly hadn't meant to sound so grim.

"Alauric, we can help them get stronger, but how much time do we have is the more important question." Grayson was studying the data. The attack from the other day had been close, how fast were these gods actually moving, and what were their actually plans

Soran tapped his lip gently as he rocked the chair back and forth. how much time... thats a really good question he thought to himself as he stared at the desk, "Well..." he started slowly, "The Gods are at war with each other, aren't they? So, if they are preoccupied with that for the most part, I think maybe we would have a decent amount of time. I guess the only thing right now is not letting Oni know where we are particularly and what we all can do. Honestly, I think if any of us were to be a major target it would be Kilia. Her healing is great for us, but probably really annoying to them," he gasped in mid sentence, "Criea....!" He looked up at Tristan with wide eyes, "She knows where we are and shes the only god we haven't sealed away or defeated yet.... What if she went back to him? What if shes working with him? Shit.... I hope she isn't on his side.... That would be disastrous! Which also means we probably don't have a lot of time.... Fu-... ugh... crap... shit... what are we gonna do?" he ran his hands through his hair as he leaned on the desk, slightly freaking out and rambling all at the same time. He had seriously forgotten about Criea.

Soran had two adults looking at him, and one red-headed seer trying to hold in his grin. Grayson was trying to remember what had happened during the fight, "I do think she said something to Kilia's guardian on that matter..." he had been the only one nearest the two guardians other then Kilia and Julianna. He looked at Alauric, trying to figure out the man's expression. Alauric looked really deep in thought about something. "I don't think we are going to figure anymore of this out at the moment." Grayson finally said. "We will train, maybe with some sort of combinations of powers we can surprise them or something." It worked well in the fight with Yakosa, and well it almost worked against Criea...

With a sigh, the blonde Seer dropped onto the table, his head hitting his arms as he crossed them just in time to pillow his release. He gave a groan, "Ow...." he muttered and then sighed afterwards. He closed his eyes as he took a few deep breathes and thought about what Grayson said. The Guardian was right, "Yeah.... I guess. Maybe we could do that. I mean, Yve did have an amazing combination of spells too... though she had done that on her own. She was amazing..." Lifting his head he looked at Alauric, "Speaking of which, you can do that too, cant you? How do you do that? Wait, wait," Soran waved his hands, "I need a break... Like seriously I've done nothing but work on this program for most of the day and I have a head ache.... Seriously. We all need a break." He lit up as he said those words and beamed at them, almost like a light bulb had suddenly switched on over his head.

"Break! Yes, we need a break! Anything, something, something fun.... Definitely something fun," his gaze grew mischievous and he looked over to Tristan, "Maybe a party, maybe some games, maybe lots of food... definitely food. Nothing like some friendly competitions and teasing and laughing and relaxing and..." now he looked to be day dreaming.

Now Soran managed to at least get the two adults grinning slightly. The other was holding his hand over his mouth, trying not to openly laugh as much as he wanted, "And Soran has left the building..." he finally managed to say after a little while. Alauric couldn't help but get caught up just a little in the other's enthusiasm, "I think that sounds like a good idea, perhaps we should have it downstairs." Tristan turned and looked slightly surprised, "you mean, oh why the fuck didn't I think of that earlier," apparently Tristan didn't have a problem cursing in front of his father.

"Okay sounds like a plan then..."

Soran looked between them all, "What? I have not let the buIming I'm right here... Oh," he apparently just then got the reference and glowered up at his lover, "You...." he said in a low, drawn out hiss, "You are so going to get it later," he promised.

Switching gears rather quickly he beamed brightly at Alauric and Grayson, "Party!!! Sounds great, when do we start?"
