Roxie's chest rose and fell unevenly- at times so slow it was frightening, at others so quick it was as though she was afraid she was being attacked. Nico watched her tenderly, and ever so gently brushed a lock of her dark hair away from her face. His very light, grassy green eyes flicked up towards Chance, but they suddenly held none of the warmth that had been there when he was watching Roxie. "How could you have let her go, if you knew that my brother would do this to her?" He spat at Chance bitterly, glaring. But before he could respond, Roxie stirred.
Her breathing grew very rapid, and her icy eyes flew open. Her entire body trembling, her eyes widened although she didn't seem like she could focus on anything. Her eyes were so full of terror. She ripped her hand away from Chance without looking to see who was touching her and, with obvious pain, brought her knees up to her chest. Roxanne Laroux, who never seemed to be phased by anything, sat with her arms wrapped around herself, trembling in terror.
A small cry escaped her, and it was difficult to tell wether it was from fear or agony. "Roxie, Roxie it's me." Nico gently spoke to her, remaining completely calm. He smiled at her gently, when she jerked back and looked at him. She blinked, and looked around the room as if she was seeing it for the first time. She spotted Chance, and quickly reached for him. She yelped, quickly realizing that the quick motion wasn't the best option.
She slowly laid back down, her breathing laboured. All that moving around had opened up some of her wounds again, and a small amount of blood stained the shirt she was wearing. Weakly, she reached out to Chance with her hand and twined her fingers with his. Slowly, she pulled his hand up to her face and held the back of his hand against her cheek. With a slight grin, she looked up at him. "Hey there, hottie." She mimicked the greeting she had woken with him what felt like days ago.
"What happened to your hand?" She whispered, seeming to struggle just to keep her eyes open. She listened to their breathing for a moment, before looking at Nico. "Is everything going to be okay?" She asked, referencing not only to herself but to the rest of the coven that they had left behind. He offered her a halfhearted smile. "Honestly, love? I have no idea."
Eleanore leaned agianst the closed door, not eavesdropping but she listening for any fighting or yelling that she needed to break up. A few metres away, Penny awkwardly stood alone. She didn't want to get too close, but she still wanted to be there for Roxie. Which was hard, especially when she was bleeding all over the place.
