It was a little while before Victor came back in the room, he was observing Kilia and the work she was doing it. She was already a skilled healer, it takes time to work up speed and others things. Yet he could see that she had a healer's heart, it was the most important part of the work she would have to do. "He is looking better, has there been any sort of response, or his he still fading in and out."

Kilia looked up from her work, her forehead was layered thinly with sweat and bits of her pink hued hair clung to the skin around her face and neck. With a heavy sigh, she shook her head slightly, "Only in and out. His breathing seems better though, but I'm still worried," she answered, "This is horrid... I can't... I couldn't even imagine."

"It is horrid, a horrid thing," Victor agreed, "His injuries will heal, his mind may take longer."

Kilia's fingers paused for a second, in the midst of another spell, "W-what do you mean? What's wrong with him? C-can't I fix it? I... I can fix it right?" Kilia asked, turning around to see Victor fully.

Victor looked at the girl, "Miss Kilia, there are certain things we can not heal, experiences that we can only hope to forget as we move on in life. I hope he is as strong in mind as he is in body, I say that because anyone less then he would have succumbed to the pain and lost all hope. He must have some important reason to live."

Kilia stared at Soran for a long while as she listened to Uncle Vic's words. Her fingers trembled slightly on the pad of her magic system. Slowly she started to finish the following spell, trying to concentrate on it yet again, "He.. won't be different will he? He'll still be 'Soran'.... right? We can help him... we all will. Especially Tristan. I-I think it's Tristan who keeps him going. It has to be! So, Tristan can cure him..." Kilia was babbling as she finished the spell and let it go, trying to reassure herself as well as keep from thinking the worst.

Victor sighed, her question was a hard one to answer, he didn't know the truth. "Then I think he is in good hands, if you all help him. If it is slow and patient and loving, which I think it will be."

Kilia nodded, her eyes had filled with tears again and she refused to turn around now. Focusing on her tablet, she worked another spell.. It was probably a huge push, but she was going to do it anyway. The young Seer didn't want to stop, she couldn't stop, not now, not when she was getting so close to finishing healing everything. With parted lips, trembling fingers and narrowed eyes, she concocted the next spell painfully slow.

"Kilia," Victor put his hand on her shoulder, "I know you wish to continue, but you need to stop. You will be of no use if you push yourself. I will take over for awhile."

"But I... I can keep going!" She argued, "Please.. let me finish.. Or help you.. something, I just can't... Not do anything."
"Then perhaps if you feel like checking on your young man, I am sure he may feel a little lonely. Its been several hours, but no healing. Have a little chat, tell him about what is going on...where he is. I am sure he woke up confused. Do not worry about Soran, I will be here."

Kilia stared up at him, unsure of how to answer and her mouth opened and closed several times as she tried to formulate some sort of argument. Finally, she gave up and instead nodded her head. Releasing her hold on the magic system, she slowly got to her feet. Breathing heavily, she squeezed her eyes shut and reached up to rub at the side of her head, "Alright... I'll go see... Robin," she managed and stumbled for the door at which she paused and then asked, "Um... where is he.. again?"

"Um, perhaps a few doors down," he guessed. He truly didn't see where the other was, "Perhaps Grayson could point to where his room is."

Nodding, she left the room and attempted to navigate through the new house to find her Guardian. She still felt awful about leaving Soran, but she also knew that Victor was a good healer, far better than herself in all honesty. Kilia knew that the blonde Seer was in good hands. Still, it was hard to leave in the middle. She nibbled at her lip, stray tears gathering and falling as she moved through the house to find Jonathan.

Jonathan awoke with another yell escaping his throat. "I'm sorry!!" He looked around and for good measure pinched himself to be sure. "I'm up. Thank heaven." He said to himself as he fell back onto the bed. Same guilt trip nightmare. He sighed, wishing he had some company.

"Robin?!" Kilia heard the cry and immediately back tracked the way she had come. Guess I don't need Grayson afterall... she thought but she was far more worried about that yell than anything else now. Bursting through the door she set eyes upon her Guardian and moved over to him, "Hey... are you alright? What happened? Why are you screaming?" She knelt down beside him and was about to open her magic system when she thought twice about it. Alauric would scold her should he find out she was healing again, not to mention Victor would be on her about it too. Though she was worried about Jonathan, he wasn't wounded like Soran was. With sleep -and probably lots of tea- her Guardian would be just as he always was.

"Just a nightmare honey." Jonathan said. "Nothing more." Jonathan reached his hand out to touch her face. "I'm glad to see you though." He smiled when he said that. "Lets me know you are safe, as is the location." he then sat upright to try and stretch his back.

Kilia leaned into the touch, happy to see that it wasn't anything too serious, though nightmares could get pretty bad. She gave him a very tired smile and watched as he sat up and stretched, "Yes. We are all safe here now..." she gave a sigh, "Though I'm very worried about Soran. He's... not in good shape. Whatever they did to him... it was horrible Robin," she started crying, "He was covered in wounds, some of them so deep! I don't... I don't know how he survived..." she stretched out her arms and wrapped them around Jonathan's waist as she buried her head in his stomach, "They hurt him so bad! Robin... I don't know.. I don't know what to do! All I can do is try to heal him, but.... but Victor says... somethings can't..."

Jonathan looked surprised at her sudden mood change and only listened. "I see. He means Soran might be traumatized, shellshocked. Call it what you will." he put one arm around her back. "The only treatment for that is friendship, love, and time." Jonathan slowly rubbed Kilia's back to try and calm her.

"I missed all the fun stuff because of that spell." He muttered. "I wasted a lot of energy using it."

Kilia shook her head as she cried on him. If she heard his last few words she didn't say anything, she was too caught up in anguish to really acknowledge anything right about then. She tightened her fingers around his waist as she tried to calm herself to no avail. Kilia could only wish that things had been different, that Soran hadn't been taken at all and that she was a better healer so that he wouldn't have to suffer. Eventually, she ended up crying herself to sleep on Jonathan's lap, the only thing saying that she was asleep was the slow rhythmic, deep breathes that she took.

Jonathan sighed and smiled. "You've got a big heart, my love." He said as he used both his arms and set her down next to him on the bed and laid next to her. He put one arm around her and tried to sleep again. "Let us both stop worrying and sleep. Just sleep. Good night. Know that I love you till the end of time." with that he fell asleep.
