The well-groomed and well-rested Lopunny mother awoke to the sound of rain pattering against the wooden pannels of the ranch house, with the wind blowing against the panes of glass, making the rattle. "Mommy! Mommy!" the young Buneary ran over, tears brimmed in his young innocent eyes, "I'm scared mommy" he cried, burrowing his face into his mothers fluffy ears. The Lopunny mother carefully dropped down to her knees and pulled her child into her arms, petting him gently as she hummed her words in attempt to sooth him, "There there Bobby, it's just a small rain storm, it'll pass" the mother said in her calm, sweet voice as she smiled to herself, thinking she had fixed the problem "No.." Bobby sniffled, peeking up at his mother, "No not the rain..I saw a Krookodile out there!" the Lopunny looked up, petting her son for a little longer before she stood and let go of him, "Bobby go wake your father" she said as she headed toward the window.
Looking outside, she could only see the enterance to the town nearby at the bottom of the path from where the ranch sat - but she could see no Krookodile. Knowing that her son was not one to tell lies, the Lopunny stepped outside and closed the door behind her, shivering as she felt the cold of the rain outside hit her in contrast to the warmth and cosy-ness of the home. Just as she was about to step off of the porch and venture into the downpour of rain, a voice came from behind her, "Bloom" it was her mate, her strong and handsome childhood sweetheart whom fathered her child, "Bobby said he saw a Krookodile out here.." Bloom said to the Floatzel that then stepped close and put a hand on her shoulder, "It's just that ruffian, Gustav, he's always around here.." Buddy re-assured her, but Bloom's brows remaind furrowed, "I think he's headed toward Castelia.. he might hurt some of the young stray Pokémon!" at that thought Bloom's eye widened and suddenly she was off, sprinting in long jumps on her large hind legs, "Bloom!" Buddy called behind her, ready to follow, but when he remember their son Bobby who was still inside, he sighed and returned to the warmth, shaking her head, she always has to protect the weak, doesn't she.. he thought to himself.
