The sky was still fading to indigo as Thanos pressed his forehead to the cold window of the bus. His breath fogged the glass slightly as he watched the foreign country whir by in a Monet painting of colors. The bus ride has not been unpleasant, but the greek found himself in a foul mood - partially lack of sleep, partially lack of food, partially stress. He fidgeted with his gloved hands quietly as he watched the countryside vanish into buildings. Was this a good idea? he thought to himself, nervously adjusting the scarf that was tucked around his neck to more adequately cover his skin. His clothing was simple for the long bus ride - dark jeans, tennis shoes, and a deep slate-colored henley tucked under his black jacket. The grey hood of the jacket was pulled up around the back of his head, a deep navy scarf wrapped about his shoulders and throat. Plain black vinyl gloves kept his hands covered, and a black knit beanie kept his dark, unruly hair out of his way. He was exhausted looking, unshaven, and irate from being hungry. As the sun rose, Thanos promised himself to buy breakfast - something he rarely did. After a long night on the bus, however, he decided he could make an exception.

The sun was already high by the time the bus rolled to a stop and Thanos discarded his ticket, tugging his blue suitcase along behind him. Everything he owned was stuffed into it, and into the threadbare messenger bag slung across his chest. He found his way into a Starbucks and rewarded himself for the long ride with hot coffee and a warm sandwich. He ate as he walked, hurrying to follow the quietly-speaking navigation on his phone to the dorm housing for the Academy.

The buildings were large, but no larger than he had seen at home in Greece. A quick look at his phone, and Thanos knew he was still early, and smiled calmly behind his coffee. He found the room number he had been assigned, after ememorizing it off of a crumpled napkin that was shoved into his pocket. The door was unlocked, as it had been unclaimed, and he chucked his suitcase inside. He'd return for it later. Assigned keys sat on a hook on the wall, and after a quick test, he took one, now having the means to lock his room.

It was a short walk to the campus, but the anxiety of avoiding people plagued the greek boy. He ducked and weaved through groups, keeping his eyes down and head low, hands in his pockets. He wasn't early, but he wasn't late, when he slid into the office and stepped away from the group of people. He clung to a wall, several feet away. He thankfully didn't need to wait long - a woman arrived, and began rattling off a welcome and introduction.
