Devone hugged her knees close to her chest as she remained huddled with her back against the wall of one of the schools' hallways. By then, most of them had been cleared out with one or two of the odd remaining students including herself. Why do I feel.. like this? Her face was hidden by the long, delicate strands of her dark hair as she contemplated on her nightmare, actually feeling distraught and scared. That big hulking image of their Physical Ed teacher Mr. Drone was a laughing matter now that she was awake but what really scared her.. was how vulnerable, helpless and alone she was in that situation. "Miss Kim." Devone lifted her head to see that the person addressing her had been the one she called, "Atsushi". She said his name so softly that her driver/bodyguard froze in place for a minute wondering if he was hearing voices or imagining things but the expression on the girl's face matching her feeble tone told him otherwise. Atsushi looked both ways for signs of his mistress' peers before sighing and extending his hand towards her. At that display, Devone snickered and smacked his hand away, helping herself up. "Oh please, I didn't call you for a hand out--" As she was dusting off, her words were cut off as strong arms pulled her closer and embraced her. "You don't have to pretend with me." Atsushi whispered as Devone's eyes got watery. I don't want to cry! "Let me go!" Devone struggled against the man, her fists slamming against his chest but tears were already flowing down. "Let me go, damn you! I'M A KIM!" She yelled out her pride but hitting him grew tiresome as she gave in to weakness. "I'm a.. Kim.. I don't.. need.." she leaned forward and burrowed her head against his chest to cry some more as he patted her head. "I know" he said, letting Devone cry as much as she needed to for a moment's time.
Later on, Devone walked outside the school no longer hiding the darkened bruise to the side of her right eye that she had received from an unexpected fall. Her tears had all dried up and she looked as uncaring, immovable and heartless as she usually did whilst Atsushi trailed behind her until they reached the limousine. As he opened the door for her he had to ask, "So, what now Miss Kim?" Devone gave him a side glance before responding, "I'm parched, take me some place worth having a drink at as I make the necessary weekend appointments." As Devone sat inside and the door was closed after her, Atsushi smirked. "Yes, Miss.."
The drive had taken her to a high-class restaurant where drinks were absurdly about the same price as the meals. "Here's your order." A waiter stopped by her table to pour her a glass of champagne before asking, "By the way, is the young miss celebrating something?" Devone entwined her fingers together and leaned her chin ontop of them. "Not at all, I just felt like it." She smiled sweetly as the young waiter bowed and resumed work. She crossed her legs and reached a hand out for her glass, staring deeply into the liquid before taking a quick sip. Knowingly, the same waiter was rendered unconscious as soon as he had reached the kitchen by Atsushi for a 'business transaction' as he was the son of a backstabbing associate. With a smirk, she commented. "How delightful."
