Alistair was beginning to think this person a tad bit slower than your average Hume (or whatever she may be), since she obviously hadn't understood what he meant when he said 'peasants back there'. Considering that she was not he, and he wasn't she (though that that is not stating a shocking truth), he had to remind himself he shouldn't expect much in the form of brainpower out of her. Such is the life of one above all others -- he constantly had allow himself to lessen himself so that these people, though undeserving, could at least partially make out what he informed them about.

Anyway, instead of giving a verbal response, he simply sighed and put his face in the palm of his hand and shook his head, disappointed in his high expectations of the woman. It was around that time that a certain other annoyance of his, also female, had decided to join up with them. Alistair noted that she was alone and assumed that he was right about the weakling being dead which was also unsurprising because he was always right. Oh well. It wasn't as though he even wanted that man to accompany them, what with him seemingly lacking a spine based on the fact he wasn't willful enough to even attempt to meet Alistair's eye. It was always possible the man realized how greatly unworthy of eye contact he was and just was acting on that, but somehow, Alistair doubted this possibility greatly. More importantly than thinking about runts, Alistair wished to depart sometime soon so that he wouldn't be too discomforted by hunger and thirst by the time they found something to eat, as was likely to be a problem to arise considering they were, in fact, stranded.

"You just keeping finding all sorts of fun things, Alistair,"

With his guard still up and his eyes still locked on the strange, beast-woman (his mental name for her since she wasn't giving off the most feminine of vibes at the moment, and because she appeared as though she'd be more comfortable outside the city than inside it), Alistair replied to the fledgling skypirate. "I would be more inclined to dub this as a 'fun' experience were it a more physical encounter. Unfortunately, that would just be a waste of energy I would very much like to retain for now. I'm sure you must know that food does not make itself, and all that combat on the ship has worked up quite the appetite." as if signaled, Alistair's belly let out a small grumble. The man decided that he did not wish to fight or waste time chatting, so he very much wanted to just leave. And so he was going to. The earlier interest in the woman disappeared and was replaced with a need for something edible."I'll allow you two to enjoy yourselves, but don't bother me with any of it."

Alistair was about to back off and begin away, but the unknown, strange beast-woman had opened her mouth and implied something with her words, whether she knew it or not. Oh dear.

โ€œYou said you were alone, Alistairโ€

It was this sentence alone that angered the man clad in gold. For you see, she did not pay attention to her wording, and even though Alistair was convinced she might be a bit dimmer than your average peasant, he could not let it slide. She was, of course, implying that Alistair wasn't above others, after all.

His crimson eyes narrowed sharply as he shot a powerful glare at the woman and they could be considered a demon's own eyes. He didn't care what 'her father told her' or that she thought being 'unafraid of Humes' had anything to do with him. "Your father must be a fool then. He seems to have spent more time making senseless claims and less time teaching his daughter to listen when she is spoken to, rather than accusing people of things they are not guilty of. Because I do not recall ever once implying that I was alone." he growled, knowing that it was likely she did not understand more than a few words. But such things did not excuse her rudeness.

Perhaps he was overreacting. She was likely never the smartest kid in school, but even so, he could not forgive the implication of her words. The fact that she was accusing him of lying alone was pretty irritating, but the hidden implication behind the initial implication alone gave him enough reason to postpone his search for food to deal with this woman, who had been fairly ignorant and disrespectful to him more than enough. Please ignore the implica-ception. He had said that there was only one Alistair Archibald. This was still true, and it always would be. But even though the impossible did not happen and there was no Alistair Archibald clone, she still claimed his statement to be false. And though she probably did not mean it to be taken as such, the golden-armored, red-eyed man could only see that as assuming this other woman, who was obviously below him, as his equal. Something he would not tolerate. How dare she even imagine such a scenario? There was no true excuse besides blatant idiocy that he would rather be wiped from the face of the planet. Yes, unless she could apologize like the heathen she was, she did not have his permission to continue living, especially if it was in proximity to him.

"You will refrain from asking me anything else and apologize for your wrongdoing, or I will personally see to it you don't have any more chances to make mistakes again."
