Kalila went stiff as he grabbed her. Images flooded into her mind, too fast for her to see clearly. She grunted as he dropped her hand.
"I remember that night, but not the faces or the people. You're not completely normal, are you?" He said and Kalila remained quiet, the connection lost as they were no longer in contact.
Her face was void of expression save for her eyes. No, she was far from normal...she was a godling...and avatar for a goddess, she was even born blind, it wasn't until she was about 8 that her vision came to her. She was so happy to see her mother and father for the first time, to see Jarrak, to see her own face, but it was then she was able to see what people looked like when they saw her, their expression, their fear and confusion.
She hated it.
"How can you help me remember?" He asked as he sat on his bed.
She just stood there, as he regianed himself.
"Are you okay? You did seem to pass out today." He asked and her head cocked to the side some.
Was she okay?
He sounded concerned. No one usually cared much beyond her family,Jarrak included.
She only nodded.
"How much of it do you see? Can you feel it too?" He asked and Kalila sat beside him. She nodded once. Yes. she could feel it. She could feel everything.
She turned and held her hands to his head and gently touched his head, looking into his eyes.
"Think about that night and we will go."
