"I'll let you flush your eyes when we get inside." Veronica told Shelly, grabbing the woman's phone. She looked it over, making sure to end the call. She slipped the phone into a pocket, then took hold of Shelly's arm. "Come on." Veronica ordered, pulling Shelly along towards the front entrance of the NPA headquarters.

"How's it going up there?" She said, her earpiece transmitting her words to her men in a standoff with the initial security guards. "We're at an impasse. The guards aren't going to be surrendering. If we can get the van to start we can probably back it up a little, make soom room to shoot inside." A man responded.

"Tell them we have hostages. We'll kill one every minute if they don't stand down until they stand down." Veronica ordered, "Understood, sir."

The attackers at the front entrance, some of them climbing atop the van and staying low as not to give the security guards any easy shots. "Hey!" One of the soldiers in the van shouted to the security guards, "We've got hostages. We're going to kill one every minute until you stand down and let us in!" He told them.

He could only hope the security guards were bleeding hearts or off-duty cops. They'd care too much about civilian lives to let them die. That was the hope at least.
