It was a funny feeling. When Theseus opened his eyes, he thought he was still having a nightmare. When heh ad woken up, he half-expected to find himself in his own bed, but the desolate landscape before him confirmed that the events from the night before had been no dream. Thanks to the overuse of his powers the night before, his clothes were half-charred off. The attack had been so sudden and Camp Half-Blood had always felt so safe. Sure, there were a couple close calls back during the First Titan War when Luke poisoned Thalia's tree and when the monsters attacked through the Labrynthe, but Camp Half-Blood always stood. Until now.
Theseus pushed a dead body off himself, a son of Hermes he noted idly. He did kept himself from thinking of the boy's face. There would be time to reflect later. He reached into the pockets of his charred shorts and with some relief found some ambrosia and an eagle feather. With practice, he thought of a sword and a moment later, he was holding a leaf-shaped sword. With a resigned sigh, he began to make his way through the wreckage, looking for survivors and supplies. Camp Half-Blood was dead, but the monsters didn't destroy everything. In the armory, he found a set of armor and a shield and in his old cabin, he even found a set of clothes that hadn't been destroyed or stolen as battle trophies.
Then, he heard something.
"Over here, please! I can help if you get me free!"
Michelle!, he thought. Quickly, he ran in her direction and with some relief, he found her already being tended to by a girl he did not recognize. Normally, he'd take a moment to admire both girls' forms, but this wasn't the time to play around. Instead, he arrived to help her push the wood the rest of the way off Michelle.
"New camper, huh?" he asked the new girl with a gentle grin as he took out a bit of ambrosia out of his pocket to offer Michelle, "You're doing well enough. Don't worry."
"Be careful not to use too much, Theseus," came a voice from afar. Looking up, Theseus saw a stern-looking boy approach from the distance. Like him, he was in full armor and carried a spear and shield, but Theseus could tell he was tired.
"Cy, good to see you!" he greeted with a grin, only to get a nod in return as the son of Athena examined the two girls stoically. He frowned slightly at the new girl.
"Interesting," the boy mused, "She is familiar, but I haven't seen her before..."
"She must be new," Theseus guessed with a shrug. Cyrus gave the girl a knowing look.
"You are so easily deceived by a a pretty face, Theseus."
"Oh, come on Cy. Don't go all paranoid on me now. She was helping Michelle," Theseus told him before turning to grin at the new girl,"Don't mind Cyrus... Er, what's your name, beautiful?"
