The sound of rain had never bothered Momo, in fact, he rather loved the patter of raindrops on the roof and the occasional flash of lightning. It was familiar and almost comforting if not for the terrified yelp that had come from upstairs. His attention was attracted to the person beside him when the smell of something burning filtered under his nose. Mako turned his curious yellow eyes to the scorching plate of bacon and followed the shimmering hands up to the only person left at the table.
Fire was not something he was afraid of, in fact, he could kind of relate to fire. The orange color, the way it flickered restlessly like it was ready to jump and become alive. Mako was entranced by the way he could use it so easily, he knew it hurt Antos, but it was still pretty awesome. He turned back to his food, embarrassed that he had been watching when the other boy turned the heat.
Mako was happily eating his omelet when Antos inquired about his thoughts on the house. Truthfully, Mako did not have any, but he would make some up if it meant holding the attention of his current boy crush. "It's cool, the architecture of the outside is really nice and whoever was hired as the interior designer did a great job of choosing cozy furniture." Mako knew nothing about styling houses, his own house on Artemis had been designed by professionals because of the copious amounts of money his parents enjoyed wasting.
Makoto poured himself a cup of water and took a swig, trying to decide if there was anything else he should say when Antos asked him if he would like to explore. "I would love to!" He put his fork down and jumped right up, snatching a piece of bacon that wasn't burn to a crisp by his friend and following the boy out of the kitchen.
