Fremea plucked the leaf off the stem and put it into her basket. She glanced at the basket and saw it was mostly full.
"Hmm..good enough for today..." she thought to herself. It'd been a while since her master had given her a day off. The last time she managed to replenish her supply of herbs and poisonous plants had been months ago. She'd been mildly surprised when she returned from her last assignment and was informed that her orders were too "rest."
It had taken her far less time to collect the herbs than she had expected, so the day was still young. The forest was more peaceful than the one she had trained in, and it was shadier too. It was an opportunity Fremea couldn't pass up, especially when she was able to wear a yukata instead of her armor. While she was very proud of her armor , it was hot and the mask made it stuffy to breathe in. She put the basket down and laid down against a tree. It would be a nice place to take a nap.
Just when she was about to drift off she saw a purple light flew overhead. Her master had tasked her to always keep a look out of these- a Shikon Shard. However, Fremea thought this was strange; last she heard it had been destroyed or something. Then she heard someone yell out.
" HELP ME!"
Fremea briefly considered using her wings, but decided against it - she didn't have her armor nor mask, so someone might recognize her. Taking only her dagger, she quickly ran towards the commotion. What she founded disappointed her greatly.
It was Gen. The laid back leader of one of her master's division. Only at her master's order did she tolerate him. There were also several other people gathering. It seemed to her that Gen was being nosy again and had butted into a fight between a strangely dressed human and a half wolf demon. Also, based off one of the birds perched ina tree, there was also a small child trying to hide. "What strange bed fellows." she thought.
" Gen..fancy meeting you here this far from ma--our mutual friend. Are you interfering in other affairs again?"
