Kojou's casual approach left him with time to watch and observe, Lynda's high hands and weird bouncing posture bugged him with how he recognized but couldn't place the movement. The fact she also paid more than a little attention to his arms also didn't escape escape his sharp eyes. That was when things finally fell into place...boxing; Kojou fought to keep his face straight at the realization. He inwardly chastised himself for not recognizing it sooner.
"Good luck!" Kojou couldn't keep the sharp exhale of air from his nose at the humor of the notion. The back of his skull told to move and his foot itched. His body recognized that he was in kicking range but he forced out that next step, and a second one then finally he began a third leading with his left foot. Lynda immediately sprang into action at that point, however Kojou had been to busy daydreaming and missed the important matter of seeing where she moved in a timely fashion.
Kojou inwardly cursed while turning to catch up with the girl, his motion brought him square with the jab. His left elbow burned the entire motion, something of a combat instinct telling him to intercept. But Kojou instead opted to ignore instinct, if this was a play fight he was better off ignoring his natural urges...even if his cost him some speed. As the punched closed in, Kojou felt his weight shift lower as his right foot slid for the pivot. Just before impact, his body tensed up against the blow and he exhaled while his body began a slight tilt back to help absorb the blow in advanced. When the punch landed it still stung, but the pain was easily within the range Kojou could just mentally dismiss. He still stutter stepped back so Lynda couldn't go for a full combo without advancing.
" So there's the play punch, how's that compare to the real one?" Kojou's stance could still only be described as 'walking' but his body was more controlled: elbows in and feet slightly further apart.
