“Why are you crying?” a flat emotionless voice asked Marshall. He hadn’t even noticed the girl come in to the pool, but then he was a bit preoccupied. She was a cute little girl in the pool, a little emo looking like himself . She honestly didn’t look old enough to be in this school, but he knew that looks could be very deceiving in this place. What did he have to loose?
“Because I’m a bloody moron, that’s why. In the course of one day I managed to alienate the first person I ever could consider to be a friend. I not only struck a nerve to irritate my new roommate, but I also managed to threaten his life. I just couldn’t hold back anymore, he just said one thing that irritated me and it was like he uncapped sixteen years of pure hate( and he really only deserved two at the most ) and I couldn’t hold back and all he did was laugh it off like I was nothing. But then, that’s all I’ve ever been; nothing. I was stupid for thinking things would change just because I got out of one bad situation. Just once I thought I could be … wanted. And for a moment I thought I was, but then I went and fucked it all up. And now here I am boring you with my problems. I’m sorry, I didn’t even ask your name. I’m Marshall by the way.” He reached out his hand to shake hers.
