Kojou felt assured of his victory with his punch, something just felt right about it. However, Lynda proved to have one last trick up her sleeve. Before he could finished his punch, the girl just leaped right into it with a punch of her own...destination his face.
You gotta be kidding me. The silent complaint screamed in Kojou's skull. After all, the girl had managed to deny him the advantage of reach for one. Then she used her right hand, something he'd normally be able to intercept with his left elbow. However his unrotated punch left that beneath his arm, and he'd have to prematurely end his own blow to guard- which would take to long to do anyways! Nor could he simply lean back out, Lynda had beaten that as well when she dove into his fist with her posture. In short, he was stuck having to watch the entire affair: his arm kept extending to drive her back, and her arm just got that much more room to accelerate. While his eyes processed the whole sick joke in slow motion, Kojou could only tuck his chin and hope to grit out the incoming hurt.
An eternity later, in came the delivery: split second loss of vision, ringing ears, and a quick order of dizziness on the side with a headache for desert...your classic boxer punch. Kojou's posture kept his neck from loosening, so he'd had to roll his head with the impact. In a minute or two...he'd feel that two; the only good thing was he'd eaten enough blows like this to keep driving his own forward and hold his ground anyways. As his own blow completed to throw Lynda back, he was glad he'd chosen a solid stance...it disguised his disorientation long enough for a quick recovery. He stepped into a normal stance, just in time for his neck to start hurting. Kojou began to grind his right knuckles into the sore tissue.
In a real punch out, that would be her win...she nearly got my chin. Full force, and I'd be out cold- or course full force is a whole different game. Of course, there was no hiding that he was currently hopped up on adrenaline. However that was something he figured the both of them could enjoy. However, he still made a show of acting like he hadn't been hurt...or at least minimize the appearance of injury.
" Now THAT one was fun, got some adrenaline and everything- also the first time I've met someone willing to dive INTO a punch. Puppy tap or no, that takes a special kind of crazy-I'm half tempted to make you mine." Even though Kojou was purely talking to talk at this point, he couldn't keep the excitement off his face.
