Spencer's eyes shot up. It was a peculiar thing to say, especially for a girl who had, and should have, nothing to do with Maurice at all. He was usually the mediator when cliques clashed - he had to guarantee his position as student body president after all - but the outcasts were insignificant, they often didn't even vote. But this, this was interesting. The two had no classes together, as far as he knew. They were never seen together at school, as was expected. There was no blood relations between the two either. Spencer slid his phone back into his pocket - that could wait - there was something much more interesting going on. He looked at his closest friend. Maurice looked cool, calm, collected - as expected. He was giving nothing away. Interesting. Everyone else at the table, however, was interested in looking at someone else. River Allison Parker. She was an outcast - not worth his time or attention. He knew a little about her, he was student body president after all, but not much. She was seventeen. A weird, gothic girl. Very stubborn. Raevyn stirred in her seat, clearly uncomfortable, "Hey guys maybe I should go home and get some sleep and we could plan something for later on tonight?... I really didn't get any sleep at all last night." Spencer gave a sympathetic nod in her direction, "Take care, Gallister, try having a quiet night in. It'll be good for you. Call me if you want me to send Dr Mearsheimer across."

He himself would be going nowhere.
