The gentle voice spoke with a smile. "Hello Sapling, I trust your travels treat you well? When are you coming home to visit? Your people, especially your caretakers, miss you a great deal." The woman opened her arms as if waiting for yarn to jump through and hug her.
Yarn spoke normally, in her language she could articulate properly. Common language was a whole other mess of trouble entirely."Mother, I am having a not so great journey. To come back would be putting all of you in potential danger, I am in trouble. I wish not to trouble my people because of my unlucky, and headstrong nature."When talking to her own people Yarn was easily one of the most intellectually powerful peoples there was. Yarn gave a weak smile from behind her mask.
Mother's face turned to one of complete worry. "Oh dear! We can protect you, just tell me what you have done. We will understand and try to talk things over with them, okay?" The woman's look of worry turned to a smile of hope.
Yarn shook her head. She let out a sigh. "Mother, I must do this alone. That is why I left. I can handle myself, truly. If I do not make it home by the next Vunters Eve, assume I am dead. Otherwise you can expect my visit then." She returned her own strong, but hopeful smile.
Mother smiled and giggled. No one ever talked to her as casually as Yarn did. Which is saying something, considering the person she was talking to. "I trust you dear, and I just KNOW we will see you then. I must go now! The harvest comes soon, and you know what that means. Good bye~" With that the woman dissapeared, leaving Yarn alone. In a cold, dark spaceship. Bored once more. Yarn let out a sigh and stared at the ship ahead of her. Eventually, something exciting will happen. Something lucky, something that will be in Yarns favor. At least, that is what she hoped.
