Back at their home, Hiriku dug through the fridge and cupboards for something to eat. Their home was nothing special, a second story, two bedroom apartment on the upper east side of Death City, rather close to the academy. They had little furnishings, just your standard stuff, couch, tv, computer desk, kitchen table, chairs, certainly nothing fancy. They spent little time here as it was, mostly for sleep as opposed to anything else, it's not like they ever had friends, or, Death forbid, guys over. No, it was just them, and they didn't mind a single shred.
After a few minutes of mindless rummaging, Hiriku settled on some leftovers from the take-out joint they had visited the previous night. "You gonna eat this?" She motioned at it and gazed over at Belle, who appeared to be getting ready for a shower. "Why would I eat your leftovers? I wasn't interested in them when they were fresh." She slung her towel around her shoulder and headed off to the bathroom. Hiriku shrugged, popping the lid off the container and shoving it into the microwave. She ate in silence on the couch, one leg folded over the other, shoving forkful, one after the other, into her mouth with little grace. Who cares? Nobody was around to criticize her on her 'etiquette'.
Belle stood in the bathroom, with a towel wrapped around her figure, and stared into the mirror, her hair was still wet from the shower, and the mirror itself was clouded from the heat. She gently ran a finger down the middle of the mirror, making a line of visibility. It was bugging her a little as to what was so bizarre about that witch, and that weapon. Both of them displayed some sort of...aura, that she couldn't quite explain. She tried to come up with an explanation as to why Lord Death would even consider allowing this to take place. After a few minutes she came up with nothing, so she got dressed, and headed out to join Hiriku.
They still had a fair chunk of time before they were supposed to meet up with the other two at the train station, and it was always a chore for them to find ways of killing time. Neither of them had any real hobbies, and they seldom had spare time to even have to figure out what to do with. In the end they decided to head into the city, just to waste what time they had. Gathering what little things they would need for their assignment, they headed out the door.
They wandered aimlessly around the city, not paying much attention to much of anything, just walking. After a long while they strayed into an area they weren't 100% familiar with, and eventually they stumbled upon a house that was...shaped like...a...teapot? "What, in the actual..." She paused, letting a smirk play across her lips as she looked to Belle, jamming a thumb in the direction of the house. "I've got a $100 says that witch lives here." Belle merely nodded in agreement, and covered her mouth with hand hand to avoid laughing out loud. They could hear music being blasted from the inside, some god awful rock and roll, it only made the house look funnier. "Sheesh, I knew there was a connection between the two, but the last thing I expected was for them to already be getting it on." She waved a hand dismissively towards the house and began walking away, sharing a laugh as they rounded the corner to their next destination, wherever that may be.
