Today was the day.
What day, you ask?
Well, today was the day Rentaro Hyuuga would start his duty as a Game Master for the week that the Reaper's Game took place.
Today was a the first day of seven where he would be in control of events that would decide if someone were to be erased, to be returned, or to be promoted.
Today, of course, was a day that he had been looking forwards to ever since he heard about it.
Rentaro was, as he usually did when he wasn't occupied, simply lounging about with only a single thing on his mind: the Reaper's Game. It was to be a very strange one too, as he had heard that the Composer was joining in on it as one of the Players. Oh, how awesome that was! The very thought of being able to beat the Composer sent Hyuuga's blood into a boil and he became very excited to start this so-called 'game'. What would happen if he were to assign a mission that not even the Composer could beat? Did that mean he scored a victory against them? That he would win against them? That he would steal their position and become the new Composer? How about if they would be erased? Did that rule apply to them? If so, what face would the Composer themself make in their very last moments of existence? This was such an appetizing thought to the strange man, and he almost couldn't bring himself back to reality because of it.
"I've had enough of the boredom of watching people, lets spar!" came a very familiar voice, managing to snap him back to his sense. He had quite an odd grin on until this point.
"Eh?" he groaned, almost as if he were against the idea, but after a short sigh, his expression widened into a grin. "Alright, that sounds entertaining enough. This will be a perfect chance to make sure we don't have some shrimp dealing with the players of this game. After all, you do know who is among them in this game, don't you?" as he spoke, he stood up and retrieved his phone. It was a perfect time to give the Players of this week's game a mission. Not that he actually had to. In fact, maybe it would be more fun to see if Himura could handle them all?
Hmm.... she is fun to spar against..... I guess I'll at least give them something to do today. Something pointless at first should be fine....
Reach the CD shop in the AMX district, or face erasure
After sending the text with the mission to all Players currently participating in the game, Rentaro returned his phone to his pocket and then retrieved the gauntlets he had preferred to use when fighting. To him, there was nothing more satisfying than personally brutalizing your opponent until they couldn't fight. Yes, it was so... delightful. Rentaro wore a very sadistic and pleased smile when he faced the woman who would be his sparring partner for now and he took what appeared to be some form of combat stance, though it was unorthodox.
"Lets see what you've got!"
