Rubrec eventually found and began preparing some bacon and eggs, added some French Toast to the mix and set up his plate, while making some tea. Eventually, he sat down and began eating, then he stopped mid-mouthful and sighed.

He sat down the fork and rose from the table, looking around and followed the route Riley had taken, pausing several times and studying the carpets and floors, as he went along. He followed whatever traces he was detecting out of the castle and stood looking in various directions, until he looked up and smirked mirthlessly.

Rolling his shoulders, flexing his fingers and finally twisting his neck to both sides so far that it creaked loudly, he crouched down and jumped up against the wall, catching hold of the handholds he had spotted earlier. Huffing slightly, he started climbing up the walls. The nice shoes flickered, faded and were replaced by wide feet with three forward toes and two spurs. The toes twisted and curved to find better purchase against the wall. Slowly, he neared the roof.

"You know, we did a bit of climbing last we met too, remember?" he asked between huffs, as he climbed.
