Rubrec smacked his lips and rose from his slumped reclining on the nook of the roof.

"I had best go shop for ring, then," he said in a voice with traces of both cruel joking and sincerity in perfectly measured equal shares. "Seriously, however, I need to go somewhere and will probably be gone a day or two, as I will have to rely on travelling on foot and not drawing too much unwanted attention."

He looked around at where they were situated.

"I don't suppose there's an easier way, well, more civilized anyway, to get down from here? Apart from jumping or climbing, I mean? Oh, and get on good terms with your sister. She and her m..ate could use an embarassing aunt, and you could use a happy family."

From the way his lips were moving, it was clear that 'a' wasn't the first vowel that had come to mind. It had looked more o-ish, or perhaps like a 'u'?

With that, he left via the kindest route to the ground below and jogged off in the general direction of the nearby town.

(With that, I do actually need to leave for a few days and wouldn't want to hold up everyone else. I'll be back.)
