G-UT-IP-73 watched as the commander informed the crew present in the briefing room that they would shortly be on an active mission. The Geth of the platform agreed quickly with the assessment of the commander that it was quite unorthodox and ill-advised for the newly formed crew be mission active so early. However, they also knew that situations like this often arose in wartime and that this was a good opportunity to prove the usefulness of the platform. The majority of the platform’s focus was on Major Tarchus and Commander Marshall as they explained the details of the operation.

After going over the information presented in the short briefing, the G-UT-IP-73 began to understand the decision for quick deployment better. With the coms blackout from the facility it was a good idea to send in a reconnaissance team. Though this had close to no experience or training with each other, there was likely few in the Union who did. With the possibility of a non-combat situation causing the blackout, it was a fair decision to send in the new SOD team rather than a more experienced one with less of a specialized focus. Especially since the facility was not on a planet in direct control of the union.

After the commander denoted the two teams for the potential operation, the Geth platform considered its role. Part of the Alpha team, G-UT-IP-73 would be a member of the scouting party that would be investigating the interior's of the facility buildings and gathering information as to why the facility would have been unable to respond to the Freedom’s Blade’s short range coms.

Examining the members of Alpha team, G-UT-IP-73 made the decision request to be placed at point from the commander. In comparison to the other members of the team, the danger and psychological effects of the position were much applicable to the Geth platform. Considering that damage or destruction of the platform was preferable to injury or death of one of the organic members of the team. G-UT-IP-73 resolved to make the request shortly after the conclusion of the meeting, along with presenting the other information it wanted to communicate with the commander about.

As the trooper platform waited silently for the briefing to end, it pinged the ship's geth core to see if it had cursory information on the facility that might be the location of G-UT-IP-73’s first operation. Specifically, relevant floor layouts and bluprint data of the buildings Alpha team could potentially be clearing.
