"I didn't think you were." Griffin glanced up in time to see the sincere smile on the girl's face, and it was the first time he really looked at her. She was really pretty; beautiful infact with dark brown hair and then there were her eyes. Griffin couldn't help but stare into her eyes. They were enthralling, like sparkling kaleidoscopes of color. They were celery green, but also ocean blue. Dashes of chesnut brown speckled her irises. And for some reason, he felt this weird feeling in his gut as he stared at them. It was unpleasing yet exhilarating at the same time. Griffin never experienced this feeling before, and it was actually annoying not knowing what it was.
"I need to sleep." he muttered before quickly laying down on the bed; his back turned toward the girl.
Azalea wasn't asleep. For some maddening reason she couldn't sleep. There were millions of images and ideas and plans and deadlines running through her head, but they're chasing each other round and round to the point where her mind couldn't catch a single one, but gets pounded with all of them at the same time as they ricochet and slam into the walls of her head. She wrapped herself tighter into a ball; shivering as she did so, and that was when she felt a blanket drop onto her.
For some odd reason, she felt this intensifying pull in her stomach. She couldn't describe the feeling because she has never experienced this odd sensation before; however, it was more than irritating.
"Thank you." she murmured.
