It wasn't quite a parking, nor was it entirely a crash. The vehicle was thoroughly disabled, however. Unscathed, owing in large parts to the sophisticated safety systems of the modern sports car, Rubrec leapt from the car and started running through the forest at high speed, dodging low branches and jumping over stones along the way.
"Huff.. dammit Riley...couldn't...get..huff.. a place with.. decent... logistics?" he asked of the trees as they whisked by. He was not even close to be within earshot of the castle, yet.
There was a shift in focus behind his eyes and he nearly skewered himself on a bent pine tree from the distraction. At the very last moment, he twisted to the side, getting resin all over his blazer for his efforts.
