She gathered what confidence and courage she had to find her voice and speak. She wanted to answer honestly, but wasn’t quite sure how to. Maybe they didn’t want her here, maybe they’d lock her up in case she’d return to tell the rest that, indeed, creatures like werewolves and whatnot existed. She hoped not, she wanted to be able to go back home, even if that meant she couldn’t quite share her findings with the rest of the world. Speaking the truth was important though. So she spoke, kindly, fear in her voice yet courage as well.
“Uhm… Well I’ve been seeing this castle from my backyard and I wondered if anyone lived there, so I decided to walk to it to see if there was anyone around. I didn’t mean to bother anyone…”
She cocked her head slightly, ignoring the rest and watching the woman, curious. She seemed pregnant. “There’s been tales going around the village telling about creatures such as werewolves and whatnot roaming around here and I wanted to know if this was true. I guess I found my answer,” she said politely. Becky shrugged and switched her phone off, hoping that her phone wasn’t at all necessary. She wasn’t sure though, these were strangers, she normally never talked to strangers, especially not strangers that shouldn’t really exist but in movies. It was weird to discover movie beings were actually real. She bit her lip, nervously awaiting what would happen to her. Would they let her go? Would they capture her and keep her hidden in the castle? Only time could tell.
