Being drug deeper into some unknown cavern by one of the sworn enemies of his father somehow still wasn't enough to make Edrick shut up. The whole time he was being drug by the collar he kept talking as if on auto pilot "Wait. You honestly expect me to believe that ALL the stories about Sirens kidnapping children to devour them is a lie? Like, really? I find that hard to believe. And anyways-" He was cut off by a particularly rough (and probably intentional) tug on his collar which wound up slightly choking him for a moment.

Regardless though it only took a few more seconds for him to start ranting again. "And where are we going anyways? The cauldron, right!? You're gonna put me in a stew aren't you?!" The deeper they went into the mountain the darker it became, a bright burning torch mounted to the wall up ahead illuminated the path forward. Upon seeing the torch an idea popped into Edricks head-if he could grab the torch off the wall as they passed by it he just might have a chance to bash Liluye's head into a flaming pulp. Apparently though she was one step ahead of him, for as he went to grab for the torch he was met with another violent collar pull, this time causing him to smack his head on the jagged cave wall. Emitting another tirade of curses he decided it might be best for now if he cooperated.
