Satoru looked at the shining, crystal clear blue pool with some sort of twinkle in his eyes. Swimming always fascinated him, ever since he was a child. It started with his father, and after he died, along with his dream to become an olympic swimmer, Satoru carried on all that he ever wanted before passing away. He worked hard for so long, and now was that time where if he won, he'd move on, and maybe, just one day, he'd make it into the Olympics and complete his father's dream.
It was still two hours away from his competition, and he didn't want to stress his mind or tire his muscles by extreme practice before. The seats, bleachers, chairs- they were all empty, waiting to be filled with the audience who would watch him, and various other people, compete in a huge swimming race.
Satoru got a call from his mom a day before though. She said something about a few friends coming to watch him? She left a voicemail since he wasn't there to pick up the phone, and he forgot to call her back about it. "Wonder who they could be..." Satoru murmured to himself and then checked his watch. It was 1:32 on his watch, and they were apparently supposed to have met him before the competition at 1:30 sharp, but no one was where yet.
He looked around, still finding no traces of anyone, and said to himself, "Maybe it was just a prank of some sort... To calm my mind maybe." He considered going home, but stopped and waited for a few more minutes, just incase these mysterious friends of his were to actually show up...
