Beibhinn didn't respond to him at first, she knew it wasn't something he wanted a simple verbal answer to. He expected her to do something about it, to take on the challenge. She fidgeted slightly under his scrutiny, but kept her eyes stuck to the television screen as much as she could manage. She sighed softly as a talon sunk into the mattress, expressing her apprehension for the moment to come.
"I'm tired, Mr. Fortuna." Her voice was soft, innocent, almost the same tone she'd once used constantly when she was just three years younger.
