The sound of rain pounding on the concrete, the feeling of the water rolling down your shoulders, it's a common thing in Seattle, and today's no exception. Mal walked through the cities streets with his hood up, keeping some of the water off of his head. It was a pretty boring day. Mal had a pair of headphones in his ears, listening to some Nirvana, well he is from Seattle after all. As he pasted a alleyway, something caught his eye. He saw something move. He stopped, and entered the alley. He looked around the alley, and saw nothing. Then the trash cans moved ever so slightly. He came closer to them, and then a cat jumped out from behind them, and ran off. "Stupid cat!"
He turned around, and began to exit the alleyway. As he walked forward, he just vanished without a trace. "Huh? What the heck?!" He shouted. He couldn't see a thing. "What's going on?! Wait, what's that?!" He saw some sort of light and ran towards it. He stumbled out of the darkness, and fell onto the grassy ground. He quickly jumped up, and took a good look at his surroundings. He was in some sort of lush, and exotic jungle. But everything seemed.....off. He took his headphones out of his ears. "What the......did I fall and hit my head?" He pinched his arm to check if he was awake, well he was awake, that's something at least.
He could rustling in the trees above him, he had this feeling he was being watched. He cautiously walked forward, and he kept a eye on his surroundings. Then from above, a small, red-orange, lion-like creature leaped towards him. The creature tackled him to the ground. "Finally! You're here! You took you're sweet time!" the creature said as it sat on his chest. "Get off me fuzzball!" Mal said as he pushed the creature off of him. "Fuzzball?! Em's fightin words!" It said as he put up it's hands. "I'm not gonna fight you! I don't even know who you are!" Mal said as he got up. "I'm Coronamon! And I've been waiting for you Mal."
Mal gave him a confused look. "How do you know my name? What are you? Where am I?" Mal asked the strange creature as he looked around. "I don't know, I just do. I'm a Digimon. And you're in the Digital World." Coronamon answered. "What's a Digimon?" Mal asked. "I can't explain that anymore than you can explain what you are. We are just Digimon." Coronamon answered. "Ok, fair enough. But what's the Digital World?" Mal asked. Coronamon sighed. "I don't know everything! If you want answers you're suppose to follow the light." Coronamon then pointed towards a light in sky in the distance. Mal gave Coronamon a nod. "Lead the way little guy." He said as he motioned him to move forward. "Don't call me little!" They then set out forward towards the light.
