Thump, thump, and more thumping echoed in the bedroom of Simon Conway as he threw a rubber ball at the ceiling of his bedroom, catching it, and throwing it back up again. "I'm soooooooooo bored!" He moaned. He's been suspended from school, again, and has nothing to do. The reason for his suspension this time was taking his school's principle's car for a little joy ride, and parking it into a lake. Honest mistake. "You seek anarchy? Thrills? I can grant you this, and much more." A deep, and ominous voice bellowed in his mind. Simon sat up, and looked around his room for it's source.
Then a black portal appeared in his room. Simon got up, and investigated it. "What the...?" He asked himself. "Go through it. Meet your destiny." The voice commanded. "Ah, screw it." Simon then cautiously entered the dark portal. On the other side was a different, and colorful world. Simon looked around in wonder as his portal disappeared behind him. "Ok, what have I been smoking?" Simon asked himself in disbelieve at what he was seeing.
A small red fireball rushed pass his head, coming from behind him. "What the?!" Simon yelled in surprise. "Hey Simon!" A loud, and angry voice called out from behind him. Simon turned around to see a small, purple devil-like creature. "Boy you're uglier then I thought!" The strange creature shouted when it saw his face. "Hey short-stack! Look who's talking! Yea.....purple rat!" Simon replied back. "Rat!......I don't know what that is." The creature said as it took a moment to think what a rat was.
"What are you then?" Simon asked as he circled around the creature. "I'm Impmon, a Digimon! And you better show me respect if ya' know what's good for ya'!" Impmon replied. Simon pulled on his tail to be sure it wasn't some sort of costume. "Hey! Watch it! You stupid or somethin'?! You don't go around pulling a mon's tail!" Impmon yelled as he took his tail in his hand. "Fine, sorry. Wimp. So what is this place?" Simon asked. "You're in the Digital World pal! Beyond that I can't tell ya'." Impmon said as he stroked his tail. "Why's that? You don't know?" Simon asked with a bit of smugness. "I....I just can't explain it to someone as ugly, and stupid as you! Besides, you're suppose to go through that!" Impmon said as he pointed out the dark portal that just appeared behind Simon. "Come on dummy!" Impmon ordered as he dragged Simon along through the portal by his arm.
The two new partners continued to walk in the forest towards the light. "Man that thing's much farther away then it looked." Mal groaned. "Hey, it's better then just waiting around." Coronamon added. "I guess. So Coronamon, tell me a little something about yourself." Mal asked. "What about? I'm fuzzy, and I shoot fireballs. I'm not that complicated." Coronamon answered. "Yeah, you sound so simple." Mal said sarcastically. "At least tell me if I'm the only one brought here." Coronamon sighed. "No, others are brought here as well. Don't know if any have got here yet though." He answered. "Really? How many more?" Mal asked. Coronamon sighed again, and stopped. "You sure have a lot of questions. I'm not sure. Five I think. Any more questions?" Coronamon answered. "Yeah, think we should wait for them?" Mal asked. "I don't know. Hard tellin' when they get here."
