Matt liked this girl well enough, she was naive and gentle, she was cute too. Odd though considering she was like a little girl.
"Yeah I can make you dresses someday, but I'd have to measure you. I can have this scarf done in a jiff. .. Your family? Honestly the only one I can stand is you."
Matt sat down and opened the drawer of her desk, inside he pulled out a needle and thread and got to work quickly. Each movement he performed was perfectly precise and in no time the hole in the scarf was mended as if it had never been ripped at all. Matt rose to his feet and wrapped the scarf over Chou's eyes and laughed.
"Guess who Chou-chan"
Matt asked in a sing-song voice. He thought they'd get along well enough. Then his voice turned serious.
"Hey, did you hear about the deal your dad made? He said if us slaves can manage to kill him or your big brother Simeon. . . We can be free."
Matt frowned and hugged Chou with the scarf still over her eyes. He felt bad that her father was like how he was and if she wasn't little he felt like he could love her.
