Raven stared at herself in the mirror that hung on the wall in her room. She took a brush through her hair, touching the mirror lightly, then placing her forehead against the mirror. 'Sister...it's happening...I'm going to marry the Prince..Mother can finally leave this retched place, and I can seek revenge.'
Raven thought, taking another glance at herself before existing her room. There were two men dressed in gold, and wine red attire. They were the Kingdoms carriage drivers and they were sent to pick Raven up. Raven's mother was talking with them in their worn down living room, but the conversation stopped as Raven emerged. The men gathered her luggage and began taking it out into the white with gold trim carriage, while Raven and her Mother bid their goodbyes. Raven's mother smiled sadly at her, knowing that her daughter was doing this for her.
"Goodbye Romona," Her mother said knowing that the guards were listening. She pulled her in for a hug and quietly whispered.
"I'm so sorry my dear. May God bless your soul. Goodbye, Raven." She stated as she backed away, waving goodbye. Raven felt as if she was about to cry, but knew she shouldn't.
"Goodbye mother! Take care!" Raven waved as she climbed into the carriage and waved goodbye.
As she rode in the carriage she saw everyone in their town turn their heads, wondering why the Kingdom would ever go there.
Raven sighed and took in a few deep breaths. As they arrived closer to the castle, she was in awe of the beauty of it.
The carriage stopped and she climbed out, as two maids opened the two front hug doors into the castle. Raven's eyes were wide as she glanced around at all the beautiful accessories of the castle.
