"Ugh, for fu-" Instead of finishing that sentence, she merely sighed. She had worked late last night, assisting with the clinic at the store. Some local musician who was apparently starting to make a name for himself. She had planned on sleeping in, so she wouldn't mess up her rhythm. Of course, her boss had given her the day off as well. Ava was a hard worker and loved her job, something that usually sat well with any boss.
Her phone had woken her up though, as she had forgotten to mute it before she went to bed. A naked arm reached out onto the nightstand and her fingers closed around the device. It was from Dianna. She wanted her to come over.
The mess that was her hair fell down in unruly curls and waves around her shoulders as she sat up and yawned, stretching her body. If she was going to make it there by 10.00 o'clock, she would have to get her behind out of bed. "Wait... At 10?" Ava said aloud and then checked the time. She did have to get moving.
What confused her most was the way Dianna had written. As if they had only known each other for a few weeks or so. Aveline was starting to have deep feelings for this girl, but she didn't know her that well yet. Was something going on, or did she just text like this?
Shrugging it all off, she got herself dressed in a pair of tight jeans, a band t-shirt and a plaid shirt. Then came the accessories; her watch on her left wrist and a black leather armband on the right as well as a silver ring on the latter hand's index finger.
Aveline brushed her hair, perfumed herself, brushed her teeth and did her makeup. When at last she was satisfied, she headed for the door.
The car rumbled to life and she backed out onto the road. Checking the time again, she realised that she was going to make it there just in time, if she didn't run into a tangle of traffic. So she turned right and drove to Dianna's house.
