Marcey fell silent, embarrassed at her trust of him. What the hell is wrong with you? You literally just met. Why does it feel like you have known him forever. She looked at the ground. "I guess I just.. i don't know," She sighed. "You just seem different." She looked up, her face flushed.
He smiled then, "Okay, fine, since you think I am worthy to be your wall, let's play a game. I ask a question, and you answer as truthfully as possible. You go first?" Marcey paused, taking in the concept of this game.
What possibly could he be wanting to know about me? She took a step forward, into the road. She locked her gaze on the cafe straight ahead. "Alright, I'm game." WHAT ARE YOU DOING?? "Completely honest answers right?" She stepped into the little cafe, the waitress leading them over to a little booth. Marcey sat down, and the waitress took their drink orders.
"Just water for me please, no ice." She smiled at the woman as she walked away.
"So uh.. hmm. What was your first impression of me?" She bit her tongue as the questions seemed to escape. Wow, I look desperate.
