Sérëdhiel wasn't stupid, she knew getting through the realm of the Woodland elves would not be easy. The second they saw her, she'd be considered a danger she didn't look like them nor did she look like any man. The Mountain elves had been forgotten ages ago, they'd either try and kill her or capture her and there was no way in hell she was letting that happen. She saw a line of white horse, Mirkwood's guards sat on top each one, ready to attack if need be. Her black horse didn't back down and he wouldn't unless she told him to even as they lifted their arrows to fire at her, he continued to run at full speed.

“Veer right.” She breathed to the horse but it was not in her native elven tongue nor any other language spoken by elf or man. Fluidly, without faltering Equinox did as he was told and he moved quickly. They seemed surprised by her sudden change in direction and as if she'd called upon them the pack was back, allowing her to pass the elves and sacrificing themselves as a distraction.

As she rode into the main part elves stared and there whispers were loud in her ears but she ignored them, she had to get to Legolas before his guards caught up and she could here the angry hoofs on the dirt as the closed in behind her. Had the group of guard's he sent been bigger, she might have not escaped. She jumped off the back of her horse while he was still in motion.

There was a yelp that was loud in her ears before there was a sharp pain that stab through her chest and she groaned in pain, fighting to stay standing. "Liekos." she breathed the wolves name, they'd killed him and that set off her temper. Now she had a driving force, now she had to get to Legolas no matter what she had to do. The wolf had sacrificed his life for her, she'd make sure it was not in vein. Her chest jolted forward and her shoulders back like something had stabbed her, before she let out a breath one that had a soft blue glow to it floated in front of her for a moment, before it dissipated like smoke.

He'd died, a part of her had died. As much pain as her body was in and as weak as she was she couldn't stop. She willed her body up the stairs and quickly pushed the doors to the Palace open. It had been at least a thousand or more years since she'd stepped foot in Mirkwood, let alone the palace but she still knew it like the back of her hand, She headed straight for the throne room. The other guards to terrified to stop her, she fit the description of the Witch of the Misty Mountains to a T. She was the witch and they all knew it. Even as warm as the weather was there was a cold chill the lingered in the air.

With what strength she had she pushed the large doors of the throne room open and another loud whimper hit, another wave of pain her wolves were dying. Two of the gaurds came in behind her grabbing her roughly before she could continue on, she held the young King's eyes boldly. "Legolas, call them off. I beg of you." was all she was able to manage in a breathy voice. She wondered if he'd even remembered her or if he even cared enough. She wasn't entirely sure what to except from the power hungry king.

"A ball? Your Lord honors me." she spoke and he was glad that she was excited. He was unsure of the last time the young princess had been to a ball that was for her. When Legolas had taken the throne there had been a ball, but for him. "And here I have none to escort me." She laughed lightly and a small smile came to his face. "My brother informed me of what happened in Helms Deep." she spoke of the battle he would not soon forget and he turned his eyes back to hers, only to meet her gaze. "How are you fairing?" She asked, concern staining her voice.

He wasn't sure what to tell her. He'd almost died that was the reality of it. Most were shocked he'd even made out so well, he'd sustained horrible injuries, that Elves weren't supposed to survive. he sighed softly glancing to meet her gaze that had fallen away when he'd started thinking of what to tell her.

"I am well." he said simply, willing the conversation to be over. He knew his dear friend Legolas well enough to know he did not want to princess exposed to such brutality, so he would spare the details.

"I was so worried when Legolas told me what had happened. It would have brought great sadness to my heart should your light had vanished from our world." she continued and he was happy to hear that although he kept his face passive.
Finally they arrived and Celeborn dismissed him. He gave a nod before he slipped out of the room to wait for the princess outside. Elves bustled around, getting the place ready for the ball. It had been quite a while since the place moved about so busily. Everything had been tranquil ever since the ring had been destroyed there were no pressing matters. No dangerous creatures lurking, and no one threating to steal the light of the elves. It was all a bit boring if Haldir was being honest, not that he'd ever speak out about it.

Finally the young princess emerged from the large throne room a beautiful grown up smile, quite different then the one he remembered on her lips. She was way more beautiful then he remembered. He offered his arm to her and she threaded her arm through his as she spoke. "I believe that you're supposed to escort me to my rooms? I would like to get ready for the Ball. I certainly can't go looking like this."

He nodded with a small, yet very uniform smile on his lips. "Of course." he said as they walked towards the room that had been prepared for her. "You also can't go with out an escort my lady and if you feel so inclined, I'd be honored to walk along side you." he said calmly as he glanced to her.
