"Huh." Elliot sat down on the couch and stared bemusedly at the white package on the table. Picking up the note left to him on the table, he quickly scanned it to figure out just what that package was.

"Bro, I kind of lost the letter which came with this thing, sorry about that." Elliot read aloud, frowning. There was a letter? Dammit, he really wanted to read the thing... Ah well, it wasn't like he could do much about that. Continuing, Elliot read on "I think it's the game you were going on about, though. The one you applied to beta test for. Or it's that package the teachers were going to send to you. If it's the game, congratulations..."

Lapsing off into silence as he continued to read (it was amazing how tiny his brother's handwriting could get), Elliot gave up reading the whole thing and placed it to the side. He'd read it later, after he was done checking the package out. Ripping the white wrapping apart with his hands, Elliot grinned when the game cover came into view. Yes!

He quickly took off the rest of the wrapping and deposited them on the table, placing the brand new game box next to it. For a moment, Elliot just stared, transfixed. It was the first time he had ever gotten a chance to beta for someone before, and he wanted to savour the moment. Then he shook his head and grabbed a pen, hastily scrawling thanks. It's your turn to buy dinner. on the back of the note his brother had written before gathering the remnants of the wrapping and going to the kitchen. Elliot quickly dumped the wrapping in the bin and placed the note on the fridge with a magnet, grabbing the new game and heading straight to his room directly afterwards.

Gripping the box in his hand, Elliot walked to his room and closed the door behind him. Taking a seat at his desk, Elliot switched on his laptop and opened the box, carefully taking out the Cd and placing it onto the computer's Cd drive. He didn't want to damage it, after all. Within ten minutes, Elliot had uploaded the game and was making his character.

Right, what should I do for my character? he quickly scrolled down the list of options, deciding to take care of his character's (right, he needed a name... How about Liotche? That sounded cool.) looks first. Elliot had already decided what type of class he was going to play in - a tank, for now - but what would his character's appearance be?

He was already playing a redhead in another game, so... Blonde. With green eyes, he'd always liked the colour. Hmm, that looked pretty good... Wait, what if he made the guy small? A sudden image of a midget earning the ire of the enemy flashed to mind, and Elliot grinned at the thought. Definitely doing that, it'd be really funny. he clicked on the height adjustment button, decreasing his character's height.

Right, body structure and appearance was done. Now off to clothes and weapons. Elliot didn't waste much time here. While he had been searching for Liotche's appearance, Elliot had also made sure to check up on the clothing and weapon options. He had already crossed out the outfits and weapons he felt wouldn't fit his character, and now only had a few designs left. After some deliberation, Elliot chose the outfit and weapon he wanted and looked at the final picture, checking to see if he wanted to change anything.

Elliot had chosen a knight motif, which left pretty much only one costume design, solving the dilemma of what outfit to choose. The weapons had caused him a bit more difficulty, but the moment Elliot had seen the broadsword he knew without a doubt that it was the weapon he wanted. It was pretty huge and a bit too elaborate for his taste, but it was the only design Elliot could find which matched Liotche's appearance, and now that he looked at the overall picture Elliot had to admit it wasn't really that bad. Still could've been less elaborate though.

Pleased with his character, Elliot stretched and cracked his knuckles. "Alright, let's go." He muttered to himself, and he clicked on the button labelled"Enter World".
